We went there last night with family visiting from out of town. A co-worker told me it had the best seafood in Solomons. The food was ok but the service was probably the worst I have ever had. They were not busy so I don't know what the problem was. Is bad service common with this restaurant? Should I know better then to try it again?

Which Stoneys? Kingfisher or Pier? None of the Stoneys have ever had very good service. I think the Pier is somewhat better than others. At Broomes Island, I don't much care..as long as the food is passable...I'll sit and drink and look at the water all evening.

I've been to the one in Prince Frederick, the service was okay, the food was good, but they double charged me on my credit card, they realized the mistake after I called, but it took over a month for them to fix it. Went to the one in Broomes Island and the waitress was so snobby, and slow because she kept stopping to talk to her friends at another table. Took over a half hour just to get sodas and they weren't even busy.

The one in PF is not really a Stoneys...well it's not owned by Phil Stone. Hasn't been in quite some time.

We were there in the bar last night as well. Lindsey the bartender was running herself ragged. I didn't ask (we're regulars and friends of the owners) but I assumed someone(s) called in to work. Service wasn't the best last night and that is the one thing the Stones insist on from their employee's. Give them another chance HM. If your still not happy, then let Jeannie Stone know. She's there a good bit in the office during the day.

We went there last Friday after a field trip. It was around 1pm. Service was great. Our waitress was very nice and came back several times to check on us/fill our drinks. That was only the second time we have been there. They were not busy at all.

Never had a problem with service in any Stoney's. Plus, they have good food.

We were there Monday. Took our friend out for his B-Day for lunch. Food was great, service was great, and Hubby LOVED his crabcake.

It was Kingfisher. The food was good. I was thinking maybe they were short a waitress and gave her the benefit of the doubt. She never once attempted to refill our drinks. You had to flag her down. The food took forever. They were not busy at all when we got there. There may of been 2 or 3 other tables with people at them. The part that made me giggle was when she brought me a refill. I asked for a diet soda and she came back and sat a soda in front of me. She told me she had a regular and a diet on her tray and wasnt sure which one she was giving me. She sat the drink in front of me, told me she didn't know what it was and walked away. We also told her we needed a table with 7 chairs and 1 high chair. She sat us at a table that was up against the wall and could not hold all the seats we needed. She placed 7 chairs at the table and placed the high chair behind the chairs and left. When she came back I told her that there was no room for the high chair at the table and asked for a different table.
We were very nice customers. We never complained. I am not sure what the problem was.

I've always loved the Stoney's here in Broomes Island.
Sure I am a little bias because I live here, but the food is always great,
and the view is pleasant. Never had an issue with the service,
but than again I'm not picky what so ever.
Oh and a random side note, my parents have a place up in Garrett County,
and they have a local restaurant there that advertises "Broomes Island style Crab Cakes".
That gave me a good chuckle when I read it on the menu.
Cheers!
