Was thinking about going for 5 days and 4 nights in the beginning of June. Where are some good places to stay and see?

If you have a 4WD vehicle, I would highly recommend Carova. :yay:

What are you looking to do? Fish? Sightsee? Lay on the beach and drink beer? :buddies: I highly recommend the aquarium in Manteo, the Hatteras lighthouse in Buxton (great views from the top).

Yeah, you know that stuff looks a lot like a flat piece of coral after its sat on the wet sand for a while? Much softer though when you go to pick it up.:killingme

I would head south and cross over the Bonner Bridge over Oregon Inlet(breathtaking views) and stay on Hatteras Island. The first village you will see is Rodanthe. Actually the 1st house on the left is "Serendipity" the house where the movie Nights in Rodanthe was filmed! You will the go through Waves and Salvo. If you continue south you will arrive in Avon. They have quite a bit of stores, even a Food Lion. Pass through Avon and on the left you will see the Canadian Hole, Famous for windsurfing. The next town is Buxton, home of the Hatteras Lighthouse. You have to see that! If you continue on you go through Frisco(calmest beach) and then finally the village of Hatteras. Lots of sportsfishing and the ferry docks to take you on a free trip to the island of Ocracoke. Lots to do and most are free!! If you like fresh fish Risky business is great and there is a mom/pop place in Hatteras slightly off the road that sells for a great price. If your place doesn't have a grill you can rent one from ocean atlantic rentals down there. If you need a realty company try Hatteras Island Vacation Rentals, Hatteras Real Estate | Outer Banks, North Carolina (http://www.midgettrealty.com) You can find a great cottage and they are running discounts for a while this month just give them the promo code sunfun! Good luck and have a great time!

You can stay at my grandparents house for free. They live in Southern Shores but are in Missouri for a few more weeks.
