My first was a 78 Pontiac Grand Le Mans. 302. Could light up the rear, snow tires and all, even with 170K miles on it. Sucker was silver (last washed by dad in 1980) faded to primer, exhaust coat hangered up, switch busted in the turn signal arm so no turns or high beams, short in the electrical system so no horn when it was donated to American Rescue Workers or Purple Heart (whatever it is in Capital Heights).

The fact that it would only be 9 years old now has a lot to do with why these brands are dying.

I mean it had a small block V8. All I know is it wasn't a 350. Don't care enough to look it up to find out what it was exactly.

Just makes me wonder what GM is going to do with the remainder of it's products. If they're going to get rid of one make completely, they should do something with Chevy......or bring back the Buick G/N; put a "stump puller" in it and market it; Buick's competition for the new Chevy Camaro.
Just a thought....

I bought a new 1987 Silver Trans Am and it rocked! I traded my 1997 Grand Prix for my present 2004 Grand Am. I wonder how long it will be before parts become scarce??
I never heard what happened to Oldsmobile parts suppliers. How long did they last after Olds went out of business and are any Olds parts still made?

Ive got a 2002 Grand Prix sitting in the garage with only 60,000 miles, which I should get rid of, maybe I'll keep it for another 10-15 years, if I live that long and take it to car shows. :lmao:
I'd love to have a old GTO from the mid 60's.

I've got a Pontiac G5. :yay:
