How does one think a marriage would work after their partner spit in their face?
I'm mean tell me your mother taught you to have the least little bit of self respect for yourself.
If you have gotten yourself into a predicament where you MUST depend on someone else then maybe your mom did not teach you how to be a person instead to be a shell of a human to be owned and disrespected by someone.

This oughta be interesting.
There are people who let their spouse hit them, but spitting is too far.
There are people who would rather their spouse hit them than berate them.
There are people who consider things abusive that others wouldn't.
There are people who consider abusive things no big deal.
There are people who considering silence the worst.
There are people who consider all sorts of things no big deal if he/she would just stop spending so much money.

My 1st wife used to tell me to close my eyes and then she would spit in my face. It wasn't until years later that I discovered she was really a man :ohwell:

Guys don't respect girls that let themselves be disrespected....
Buddy of mine gets away with murder and he figures why not; she's never going to do any thing about it....

It would be unacceptable for my spouse to spit in my face. No question about it.....
As for how a marriage would work after a spitting incident? Why would you want to be with someone who refuses you common courtesy of behaving respectfully and appropriately?

When he tucks and shaves, it's hard to tell. If you let me hang out with him, I could have warned you earlier.

He would not just go up to a stranger on the street and spit in their face, why is it o.k. for him to do it to you?? Grab your pride and self respect and get the heck out of there!!

What was the fight about?
Answer, I don't know. I forgive a lot for various reasons. But I don't depend on anyone but myself either.

Some of us consider this practice an important part of love-making.
I'm offended that you would imply this is a negative thing.

Honestly, I think I could forgive someone for hitting me. But spitting, I think that would be a deal breaker.
Don't ask me why, but that's just gross, and shows a total and complete lack of respect, if that's possible.
