Going today to get my 2009 Kawi Ninja 250R in all black with only 400 miles for $3k!

It has a few scuffs on one side, but overall like new!

Can't wait!! :yahoo::yahoo:

Sad I can't ride it until after June 5th when I take my BRC course :( (my friend is riding it back for me so I can torture myself by staring at it)

So it has been pre-crashed?

it was blown down in the wind, scuffs are pretty minor. they arent really long scrapes as if it were dropped while riding

:yay: excellent choice for a first bike.

FYI ~ if you take the written test you can get a learners permit that's valid when you're accompanied by a licensed rider.
Makes rides around your neighborhood legal

You might not have completed the course, but I'm sure you didn't fail to learn

Call GEICO for motorcycle insurance, I had them and my rate on my Boulevard is real low.

Might we inquire as to the safety gear you'll be wearing?

Oh...I learned how to do everything! Except that figure 8 in the rectangle. :ohwell: That is a lot too.

I'm sad and kinda bumed out about it too. As soon as I get my fingers on 2 grand, I WILL HAVE a Kawaski 125 here and I will practice till I am ready for my license.

Go to the boardwalk and rent a scooter for the day and practice?

That was quite a gust.

i think it was probably because ground was already soft and uneven. just my assumption, but from the looks of the damage, its quite minor and wasnt from when it was moving.

or maybe some kid came by and kicked it. who knows lol

Good, boots? Should at least cover the ankle well. In parachute training, they teach you how to hit and roll through five contact points, foot, ankle, knee, hip elbow and shoulder. Bikers should do kinda the same thing, firgure most likely friction points and protect those.

Might be able to hook you up on a 2004 Ninja 250 with about 1800 miles (if that) on it in the near future. GF's bike and she talking about getting a cruiser, not positive it will happen but if it does I can let you know if you like. She was talking about 2k or so. Nice bike.

I have a scooter. It's a 250.
So you have a scooter that has more displacement than the motorcycle that you want to buy? Shouldn't that be the other way around?

Yes, I know scooters have "grown up". I see a Burgman almost every day walking to the bus stop in DC.

Still got two too many testes to drive one, but I can see the appeal.

Me too. Super fuel efficient, comfortable, easier to get on than a bike (step thru design), quiet. All a :yay: in my book. Only way I'd ride one is if I lived in the city or at the beach. No way would I be caught riding one on the beltway.

Guy I work with lives about 5 miles from work. He rides a 125 scooter to work. Outrageous gas milage, free parking. He spends less a month to commute than I do in 1 day.
