We have a dog named Daisy who loves to play outside and roll around in the dirt. When I bring her inside, she brings dirt and stains all over my carpets as well as on my furniture. Either I need to find a good Carpet Stain Removal (http://www.mistermax.com/) product, or she will not be allowed to play outside anymore. I have heard of Spot Shot (http://www.spotshot.com/) and Force Out (http://www.forceoutproducts.com/). What other stain removers do you recommend? And where can I find them?

lol that sucks. Dogs do that. Keep her in and grow some grass? Get one of those aerators, some good grass seed, and hay.

My dog loves to get dirty too. For small stains, we use Windex. Surprisingly, it does a great job. Normally, we avoid it by keeping a old towel by the downstairs door for when it's obvious that her feet are dirty. We also crate her until she gets a chance to clean herself off before letting her roam around the house.

Oxy Clean.
But you can prevent a lot of stains by wiping her down with a towel kept by the door she comes in and out of.

It is my experience that you cannot avoid dirt and mud. I stay prepared by having a basket of dog towels by the door and if it's messy outside, I leave one on the doorknob that is wet to clean them up before entering onto a dry towel.
For stains, I have found Resolve to work well. Vacuum, spray Resolve, scrub lightly if needed, allow to dry then vacuum again if needed - or wait to vacuum until the next time you do the area if the stain has dissipated.
The wet and dry towel duo really helps. I also steam clean intermittently. For in between steam cleaning, Resolve works for large areas too - using a mop to work in the product.
If the little one scrambles, just pick her up and use the wash cloth/towel to get her clean - she'll get used to it and it'll become habit. Your carpet will thank you for it. :yay:

My dog is so used to coming in and getting cleaned up that sometimes she'll give me her paw before I even have the towel in hand. She also waits before going upstairs, until I tell her it's ok, to make sure I don't need to wipe her off first.

When its wet and muddy outside like today, I keep a small container of water by the door, when dog is ready to come inside, we make her dip her her feet first.
