i currently have verizon dsl.. i ham highly dissapointed, every night from about 8pm -1130pm my inter net is constanly diconnecting saying a "dns" error... what ever that means, called verizon they blamed my modem, they sent out a new one and im still having the issues. its been like this for 6 months. time to change..

so what elese is there? i was thinking about going cable with metrocast any pros/ cons?

Had it for a couple of years, no problems

I used verizon DSL for years with no issues. In honesty, I'm rather sad that I no longer have it(can't get the service at my new place).

What are you trying to connect to the net with? A gaming console, or your pc? There may be a rather simple fix if its a console.

You get 5 up? Damn, I'm getting 17 down and 1.5 up. I'm considering going to FIOS, but I'm happy with Comcast customer support.
