Went to Jaspers tonight for dinner... they have a special thru the end of june. Order off a special menu and you pick how much you want to pay.

We had steak and shrimp tonight.. It's 10 different meals on the special menu. Oh and it's only on Mondays.. They bring you the bill with the price crossed off and you write in how much you want to pay for it. It's only on Mondays though.

I've always wanted to try Jasper's. Picking your price is a great excuse to go. Unfortunately, going on Mondays is not practical for us as my husband doesn't get home until after 6pm and I am in bed by 8pm. I'd still like to go though.

He could go. The waitresses are cute there so he'll enjoy it.

They also have a BOGO deal on their "Curbside Carryout" through the end of June. You can get one entree free per car any day of the week. You can either call ahead or pull up and order there. I didn't have the menu with me any more when I saw the sign the other day, so I just pulled up and it only took about 10 minutes to get the food. Yummy!!!

Darn! I'd love to actually meet you IRL. I did say something to my son about playing the drums during the 2nd grade performance and it completely freaked him out!! He had no idea how I knew about it. He swears that I was there. :evil:

That's what hubby got.. he was not impressed :lol: Probably mostly because it wasn't big enough for him. He also had the Lobster Bisque and I tasted it and it was :barf:

50 pennies for mine and 50 pennies for my oldest kid.

Other 2 kids ordered regular meals and hubby ordered expensive meal. So are bill was still $53 and we tipped our waitress reallly well :)

More importantly, eyes that take pictures so I can prove that I know what he did. That's what really gets him. He has no idea how I get pictures. He does say that he sees you taking pictures but hasn't put it together that you are my supplier. :lol:

It's 10 different things... One was steak, one was steak and shrimp, chicken tenders, some kinda salad thing... cant' remember what else. It's a decent menu though.

Just got back from our anniversary dinner at Jasper's. It was nice but not quite what I expected. Their menu is alittle limited and the prices were alittle high. My youngest son did think their bathrooms were cool though. :lol: My husband already informed me that we'll probably never go back there though. :ohwell:

I have to say the food we got from the special menu last week was probably our best meal there.. My 50 cent steak tasted better than the last one I paid $20 for.

My husband and I both got burgers. I thought it was good. Oldest son got pizza with a side of broccoli (waitress was shocked that there is actually a kid that wants broccoli) and youngest got a grilled cheese with a fruit cup. Maybe the kids and I could go sans hubby one day.

We will def be there... she comes home Monday. We are going to stop for dinner after..

She got really rude and almost seemed to ignore that we were her table and refill drinks etc... (we had actually planned on tipping her 30% of what ever the originial total would have been)

We live about 10 minutes away from Jaspers so we go there fairly often. I'm addicted to their blackened chicken chophouse salad and hubby & I both love their chicken tortilla soup. The food is usually really good, the restaurant service is more often good than not.

I don't know if it's changed any, but the bartenders there were consistently the worst in the Prince Frederick area. Hubby & I used to go out for drinks a lot before having our baby. No matter how empty the bar was, you'd still wait way too long for a refill. And before anyone asks, YES we tip well and are very friendly people. :lol:

Yeah, that is pretty strange. One time hubby asked the server if he was supposed to go up to the bar himself to get happy hour prices and take away from her tip. He was just kidding but the server said people actually do that. :lol: I guess those people must have been coming back to cold food at the table by the time the bartender got their drinks for them.

Do they still suck at Jaspers? The inlaws are going to be in town this weekend so hubby & I are going out for a date nite while they babysit.

Guess we'll hit the Greene Turtle like last time. We have great service there every time, no matter how packed it is. The only issue is that we feel old there. :bawl: :lol:

Service has always been very spotty at Jaspers. The last time we were there, there was no one at the bar and only 3 tables occupied in the bar. Ordered an app and drinks, drinks came, gave dinner order..Salads came to table, asked where was the appetizer? They said they would check on it, told them to take the salad back until we had the appetizer..and was told that they serve both together..I'm like, duh, no you don't...Anyway, piss poor service must of the time but never have had complaints about the food.

I never worry about feeling old at Green Turtle, I am old. :lol:
