Any recommendations for a great local heart doctor or do I need to find one at the Washington Hospital in DC? I do not care for the Shah Group....

Not sure where you are located or what you consider local but I've been pleased with all of the doctors and staff at the Southern Maryland Heart Center on Leonardtown Road in Waldorf. I've been under their care off and on for over ten years. Both of my Catheterizations were at Washington Hospital Center, Cardiac Unit, and I've also been pleased with that staff. Good Luck.

Dr Lundergan or Betrell in Leonradtown. Both are good and also deal with Washington Hospital.

My cardiologist is Dr. K. Yazdani in Huntingtown. That's his only office. He's works with Calvert Memorial. He's been very good with me, I like him. And if you need special treatment he referred me to Dr. Kent at Washington Hospital Center.

Ive spent alot of time in this office recently and Im happy with the doctor Im seeing, staff has been very nice. After 2 days of tests, results came back normal, but Im still going into a Afib on occasions, but that has been improving here recently, guess the meds are beginning to do what they are suppose to do.
