If you aren't catholic, you will go to hell.

Has Reverend Slotted opened his church yet?

I think he's remodeling Roses as we speak.

Oooh...I can't wait to see the locals lining up to see him. Perhaps he can feed the homeless crackheads that reside behind it.

I always recommend SouthPoint Church. They meet at Leonardtown High School. We used to go there when we lived down in southern Calvert. We would still be going there if we lived anywhere within a reasonable driving distance. They are non-denominational, but definitely base their teachings on the Bible. Check them out at SouthPoint | Passionate about People (http://www.southpoint4u.com/).

I know you said St. Mary's but we go to an interdenominational church in Calvert. We've been there 10 years. We live in St. Mary's-the drive is not bad. Go to Home (http://www.crossroadchurch.com). Sunday service at 10 am; Wednesday night at 7 pm; youth night every Friday at 7. Nursery and Jr. Church at each service. We have a contemporary worship service. It is located on the corner of Ball Rd and Route 4 in St. Leonard.

Hubby & I went to a Bikers for Christ Service there a few weeks ago...nice church building, huge gym, I just checked out the website...I bet they have a great youth Ministry, they have to, they have a Toby Mac song playing on the youth ministry page.....

I guess you can tell I am interested in youth ministry. I am a part of the "Ignite the Night Ministries" Youth outreach....

I attend Encounter Christian Center in Charlotte Hall, Maryland. Our music is contemporary and the atmosphere is inviting which matches your criteria. Sunday services start at 8:30 am and 10:30 am. The senior pastor is Pastor Wilson Morales. His sermons are strong, Bible-based messages with lots of humor. He's remains straight with the truth. People from all walks of life attend our church. People dress in their Sunday best and people dress in casual clothes, also. There are services for children and teens. A recovery group meets on Wednesdays at 7:30. Bible studies are on Thursdays at 7:30. Our church is amazing! I love it! I'm so thankful for its ministry. I've been attending 3.5 years. (Encounter Christian Ministries (http://www.encounterministry.com))

As much as I am bragging about Encounter Christian Center, I know there are other very good Bible-believing churches in St. Mary's County. You are wise to visit many and make the choice where God leads you.

Real Life located in Mechanicsville is a great new church. Real Life Wesleyan Church (http://www.livereallife.net/location/)
It is a sister church of New Life in LaPlata. Beautiful music, great teaching and preaching and a wonderful children's ministry. All of the children are made to feel very involved with the church and almost every service includes a child or teen part. This past Sunday several teens joined the praise team and sang a beautiful song that they worked on together.
