Does anyone know of someone who might want a kitten. She is approx 2 months old. She has been to the vet and been treated for parasites and dewormed. Uses litter box well and eats well. Very playful and sweet. I have a bunch of ferrels that I take care of and she was one I tried to "get off the streets" so to speak. I was originally going to keep her but I have a cat indoors who apparently doesn't like the intrusion (sp?) and he is getting sick because of her. He is 14 and my baby and I can't keep messing up his world like this. I love her dearly. Her name is Gracie but you can change that. I hate to get rid of her but I have to do what is best for my cat and for her. She would love a home where she could run and play and not have to be kept in one room. She has some supplies and toys. I will give her away but if someone was willing to make a donation for her that would be good too then I could buy some more food for the cats outside. I have roughly 40ish I am trying to take care of. I really don't want her to go to the shelter or a bad home. Please let me know if anyone is interested. Thanks.

Hit Quote to go to the Advanced Reply Editor, or the Quick Reply button to go to the bottom and hit the Advanced Reply button to get there, and click the paper clip in the toolbar. It will give you a pop up where you can browse and upload files from your computer.

Kay, will try that. No, I know how old she is(within about a week). I try and keep track of all the litters when they are born...when I can. She should be 14 weeks this week. So just shy of two months. Two more weeks and she will be two months. Will try and post pics.
And yes, I am working on getting this colony spayed and neutered. I inherited them all from a neighbor. Long story. Working with SPOT who is helping with funding.

She's just shy of 4 months if she is 14 weeks  Just curious..I do rescue and would be willing to take her if she was small..I have a singleton and I need a small kitten as a companion, as he just lost his buddy to a heart ailment. Would SPOT spay her before you place her?

Just shy of two months...don't think I said 4...maybe I did. Sorry if I did. She is small...my vet said she might always be small. She is growing though and eats like a horse :-) The clinic said they shouldn't be spayed until 6 months but I think they will do it at 4. I will check. Would you be keeping her or just fostering? Need to know she will be safe and loved. I am sure that I can take her in to be fixed under SPOT since she was in the colony to begin with. I would just have to get her back from you, get her fixed, then bring her back to you that night.

How old? Graice is smaller than she should be for her age but still bigger than a baby baby. She likes to play ALOT and gets fiesty. How small is your kitten?

5 weeks..just over a pound.
I'm still confused...you said 14 weeks..2 months. How much does she weigh? Have you had her tested for Fel Leuk, Aid, etc.?
I'd be fostering her but she still sounds a little too big for my little guy.

Ok, 14 weeks is not shy of 2 months. One month is 4 weeks, therefore 2 months would be 8 weeks. 12 weeks would make the kitty 3 months and since you said she is 14 weeks, then she is 2 weeks shy of 4 months not 2 months.

I said 14 weeks...Oh crap....yeah, I get where you are coming from now...DUH!!! Sorry, did I say my math sucks bad? Sorry, I guess that does make her almost 4 months doesn't it. Maybe I am an idiot after all. Sorry :-/ So, ok is just shy of four months then. Not tested for Fel Leuk or aids yet. Yeah, she probably is too big for your kitty...she might squash him. When I took her in to the vet on 22 June she weighed 1.5lbs. She is bigger now..I would say at least 3 but don't know for sure. Tried to weigh her on my scale but its not sensitive enough. Thought about taking her to Giant and put her in the veggie scale but didn't think they would like that. Vet said she needed to be at least 16 weeks to test for Fel Leuk to make sure there wasn't a false positive or fals negative reading. Looking for a perm home for her..not a foster. But thanks :-)

Yes, I said my other cat was 14 years. But I also said Gracie was 14 weeks. I was way off on my math though and she is almost 4 months. Ugh

Yep....I got it wrong....now I look like a moron.
Oh well, I hope I am forgiven and that no one holds that against Gracie. Sorry again for the confusion.

Phred is pronounced "Fred" and he is a stuffed animal that is a pink lion that I have had for many years

i cant get my cats to stand on a scale, so to weigh them at home, i weigh myself, and then i weigh my self with the cat. so if i weigh 110 lbs, and then get on the scale with fat kitty and it pops up 125 lbs, then my kitty is 15 lbs (125 lbs - 110 lb = 15lbs of cat) :yay:

well that was my plan and tried it but I guess she is too small or my particular digital scale isn't sensitive enough because the numbers didn't change whether I was holding her or not. But that was a week or so ago...I should try it again.
