You might be right there are so many sub species of orb weavers.

Not exact but picture of first spider is similar.

EENY291/IN568: Tropical Orb Weaver Spider, Eriophora ravilla (C. L. Koch) (Arachnida: Araneae: Araneidae) (http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/IN568)

Wolf Spider. See them in our yard (and sometimes in the basement :yikes:) all the time.

Me neither, but then again, I have never seen a lot of these that are labeled "wolf spider":

Yahoo! Image Search Results for wolf spider (http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images?p=wolf+spider&sp=1&fr2=&y=Search&ei=UTF-8&fr=yfp-t-152&x=wrt&js=1&ni=21&ei=UTF-8&SpellState=n-1965226981_q-nLG7ZnLHBdyugqQzyWn6rgAAAA@@)

I do hope that link works. If not, go to yahoo, type in wolf spider and hit image search.

Now I have the creeps.....

Now i know one of those pictures is definitely not of a wolf spider, the thing has wings.
