i am building a small paintball field on my property for private use and need material to make bunkers. i would like to use scrap tires- can anyone tell me if i can go to the landfill and buy/take scrap tires off the pile?

big sign @ landfill..."no scavaging". Call local tire dealers.

Try asking at a tire shop. They should have tons of tires that they have to pay to have hauled off.

I have 4 large truck tires you can have...plus I have more...and a tractor tire..Hollywood Md pm me if you want them

that doesnt make sense tho- if the state has to dispose of the scrap tires, which costs them money, why not let people take them?

Because they wind up in the ditches and streams and everywhere except where they will be disposed of correctly. That cost MORE money to do an environment cleanup.

i dont think people would ask to take tires if they were going to throw them in ditches
