Anyone go this weekend? I went for the first time and loved it! Patsy Clairmont was hysterical and touching. All the speakers were. I loved Marilyn Meberg. The whole thing was pretty awesome.:yay:

Unfortunately I wasn't able to go this year but have gone in the past. I love it. Always great. I have several of Patsy's books and laugh out loud reading them.
Glad you were able to go and enjoy it.

I love Patsy.... she is so fricken tiny and incredibly funny and Marilyn, oh my gosh, she is just an incredible person all around the block, very smart woman.

I have gone the last several years but not this year. Our group didn't feel right going leaving 1 person behind because she is so ill. It is an incredibly uplifting experience and I am so glad you got to attend! :yay:

I saw online today that Patsy has written 5 children's books. I'm going to go to the christian bookstore and check them out. I bet their great.

They were fantastic. Sheila Walsh, Lisa Whelchel, Luci Swindoll....
Great. Just great. Steven Chapman Curtis broke my heart. We went with my sister and his story of losing his daughter really touched home.
Mandisa was excellent as well.

She was an adorable little girl and such an awful tragedy. I have always had an incredible fear of backing a vehicle over a child in the driveway because it happened to a family that went to our church.

Oh a happier note...

Did you ladies go Friday AND Saturday? It is always fun to stay in the city, get a room, have dinner and just get away!

Yep, we stayed at the Marriot Renaissance Hotel just a few blocks away. Fabulous! Huge fluffy comforters and high thread count sheets. It was great.

We always stay at the Hyatt Regency because I always wait until the other places are booked. :dork: But I didn't mind the walk (others did mind )

So, where did you eat? The ChopHouse & Brewery across the street.... OMG

We went to Clyde's the first evening and then Haagen Daz. Stopped at Topolino's on the way home Saturday.
