You need to hit Costco they have huge bags of walnuts, pecans, etc... for like $8. I think they are 5lbs each.

Do they taste the baked goods at your fair? I always walk into the baked good area of the st. marys fair and it never looks like they have tasted any of the food.

I think they taste the baked goods, but I'm not sure about canned goods. They usually eat 1 cookie. St. Mary's used to taste breads and stuff, and they tasted the canned goods like jellies. I'm surprised my fair didn't taste the canned goods. What's the point of it if they're just going to look?

How about a "Goof-Proof Cookie Recipe".
But add an additional recipe instruction, as in "feel free to add your own mixin's (i.e. choc chips, nuts, m&m's, etc).
Maybe even expand that recipe to state that instead of cookies you could spread this in a 9x12 pan and add desired extra ingredients. Including cheese and bacon.

I made the chipless cookies last night and they're so good! :yum: When they were baking, hubby asked where the chips were, and when I told him I was leaving them out he was so excited! He said he tried to get me to make them that way before (which I don't remember). I also made some regular cookies though.
