We got a really nice treadmill many moons ago which ended up being a clothing rack for us for a while. We use it now in conjunction with our DVD workouts.
I'm sure that the Bowflex machine works great but a good diet (5-6 small meals a day) along with a strength training program will help you get better results faster.
