I'd love to have chickens, and fresh eggs, again, but can't keep them in a pen and off the pool deck.

Do chickens ever swim? Would they actually go in the pool? But even being NEAR the pool with poo would be bad of course.

Speaking of chicken poo .... Someone actually makes diapers you can put on chickens - yes sounds crazy but it's true, and I have one for Sweetie (brown leghorn). She was sick and I had her in the house for a couple months and that diaper came in handy. I bought it on Raising Backyard Chickens. Purchase Chicken Coops, Baby Chicks, Raise Pet Chickens in Your Backyard, Learn About Chicken Breeds! (http://www.MyPetChicken.com) . I hear the ones they make now are even better designed than the one I have.

I'd love to have chickens, and fresh eggs, again, but can't keep them in a pen and off the pool deck.

Do chickens ever swim?

No, but they're very good at drowning. :ohwell:
