JoAnn Fabrics and some of the sewing centers(in the yellow pages under sewing) have classes

check with the Senior/Community Centers also. There's a center in Lusby, Pr Fred, and N. Beach. They always post in the local papers.

Sometimes Parks & Rec have a sewing class.

Thank you! I did check Parks and Rec and didn't see any...and called Jo Ann Fabrics in Annapolis and they don't offer them... I will keep looking :) If anyone happens to come across something, please keep me in mind. THANKS!

SEWING FOR ADULTS
Sew today’s fashions. This beginning sewing course will provide you with the basic sewing
techniques you need to create your own wardrobe and alter purchased clothing. Learn selection
and use of patterns and fabrics by actually completing a garment with individualized help from the
instructor. All materials should be purchased after the first class. This is an eight-week course.
Sewing machines will be available during class.

Age: 18 & up
Dates: 9/29 – 12/1
Days: Tuesdays; 10 weeks

Really?! I didn't know that!

If you're interested and it's not full, they might let you in. I figured they'd be happy to take your money no matter what county you're from. :)

IDK! Calvert you have to register with your Calvert Co address. It's an hour and a half drive down there, but THANK YOu!

I'm interested in sewing class too. My mom gave me a sewing machine and it's gathering dust :'( . thanks for the thread :buddies:

I would like to learn how to alter clothing and sew quilts. I also make sock monsters. I sew by hand right now but I'd like to learn how to use my sewing machine :)

I'm in Lusby so I'm not sure what's available.

I can help you with the quilting maybe, I don't do patterns, but I can do crazy quilting and patchwork. I don't do clothes at all, but if you want check out my website and see if there is anything that interests you. I sew all the time but I'm not good at following a pattern.

The sewing and vac. place in Lexington Park used to give lessons, and there is a quilting store in Calvert near Prince Fred. and Michelle's in Hughesville both have lessons.
