Lizards Rapidly Evolve After Introduction to IslandKimberly Johnson
for National Geographic News

April 21, 2008Italian wall lizards introduced to a tiny island off the coast of Croatia are evolving in ways that would normally take millions of years to play out, new research shows.

In just a few decades the 5-inch-long (13-centimeter-long) lizards have developed a completely new gut structure, larger heads, and a harder bite, researchers say.

In 1971, scientists transplanted five adult pairs of the reptiles from their original island home in Pod Kopiste to the tiny neighboring island of Pod Mrcaru, both in the south Adriatic Sea.

Genetic testing on the Pod Mrcaru lizards confirmed that the modern population of more than 5,000 Italian wall lizards are all descendants of the original ten lizards left behind in the 1970s.

Fundamental changes is in 30 years. Imagine what millions of years of evolution could produce.

 That is not really what that info shows.

What it does demonstrate is that the "evolution" happens at a very fast rate and the claim of millions of years to evolve is no longer a sustainable claim.

There is no reason that Mankind took 200,000 years to evolve since now that evidence shows it could have been done in 6,000 years.

Dinosaurs did not need millions of years since now we have proof that they could have evolved in a few hundred years.

That evidence undermines the entire theory of evolution as it is taught today.

Could it produce proof that a single cell could evolve into the gazillions of life forms we know about and assume?

As I Christian, I need to remember that with God's help, all things are possible.
