That made me cry :(
Why would someone want to do that to an innocent infant? To any helpless creature? Even to an evil human being! Some people have no respect for life other than their own. It's sick. I can't even begin to wrap my head around it. I hope these teenagers are permanently scarred with guilt over what they have done, and remember it vividly and are haunted by the thoughts for the rest of their lives.
It's incredible they can only get 2 years and a fine for this, max. I've said it before, but the sentence for animal cruelty needs to be seriously reconsidered. Who are we to say that the lives of animals are worth less than ours?? We have NO say. The murder of an animal should be treated with the same considerations of a human murder.
As far as I'm concerned, humans are the most destructive, cruel, careless, and sick creatures on the planet. So many have zero empathy for those we share this planet with. Orangutans are more conscientous of other species than we are.

If caught, I say do the same thing to the criminals. Stone em and burn em.

I completely agree and this is one reason I could never be a judge!
OH MAN.... that just grates my a$$
and I adopted a dog that was burned over 50% of his body when he was only 8 weeks old. And that was done by his owners... because they were STUPID!!!

Even if they don't, karma's a B*TCH. They'll get what's coming to them. I thoroughly believe simple physics apply to human actions just as much as they do physical. You get what you give.

This is just so sick. I can't even come up with anything to say...
"I don't know what makes people want to do that," he said. "If they do that to animals they're going to do that to a kid."
I think this comment is a bit out of line.
Ive been know to trap the loose running or feral cats and bring them to the pound or shelter, but never have I thought,, ok, Ive thought about it, but never have I trapped a loose running child.
