We were at the pet clinic (drawing a blank here) in the park behind Big Lots and tripped over the most adorable 1year 4 mos old, small 40 - 50 lbs female fawn Boxer.
As we already have a female, we couldn't take her. It broke my heart to leave her in a cage with those HUGE brown eyes alertly checking out any prospects.
She's a keeper.

Are you going to adopt her or just stepping into another tread to trash it?

Back on topic - She's beautiful, but our hands are full with the two dogs we have. I am going to alert my friend to her. She is thinking about a boxer. I'll forward it on to her.

We actually just adpoted from ARF, we adopted a boxer lab mix. I am not sure if that is my pups mom or not, I know she was going to be up for adoption soon. ARF is a great group the adoption process was very smooth and to the point.
Good Luck!!!:yay:

Might be! I talked to the lady and she said that a Mom, Sister, and a litter of puppies were found to be living in the woods locally. That the one I asked about was the Mother or Sister - I am not 100% sure which one so far.

Either way she should be a great dog :) my puppy is so well behaved and a very smart boy. I am so happy the mother will be getting a home :)

Will do! Just have to see if the boxer in question will be okay with my family. I have four boys. The two human ones are 4 and 7 years old, and then the two non-human is a Great Dane (2) and a Rotty (3). My Fiance is feeling left out since she is the only girl, so hopefully we can add another female into the family.

Not to be negative or anything but you do know that adopting a dog is a big responsibility. Dogs need more attention than the cats you have. I have seen many of your posts about your cats you have and how you have complained about having to spend money on them. Dogs required more care and LOTS more money to be spent in routine health care. (etc. vet visits, shots, heartworm meds, flea meds and god forbid if they get sick)

According to your posts when your cat was sick you were pissed that it cost you 300 because the cat had the runs. And you had let that go on a year you said.

When you adopt it a life time commitment you make to the animal, its not a novelty item.

:bigwhoop: yes i #####ed that i spent a ton of money when my 15 yr old cat got the runs and they didnt even know what was wrong with him :bigwhoop: ive had dogs before. ive spent hundreds (my parents spent thousands) on a dog we ended up having to put down when she was 5 yrs old. i know the responsibilty and the cost of a dog. why the eff do u think im waiting on getting a dog to see where we are going? :bigwhoop:

also i complained ONCE about the cost of a really old cat.

Kvj.

did you ever get your cat tested for feline aids/lukemia? I mean you said you didn't want to spend the money to get your cat taken care of because you think its due to him just being old there are many things that can cause a cat to get the runs. Who in there right mind would make a cat suffer for almost a year with diareah without taking it to the vet to have tests run(apparently you are the one who does).

I would recommend you don't get a dog especially if you can't seem to be responsible enough to take care of the 4 cats you have and have to ##### about spending money on them. As a few others have said dogs are a big responsibility and could cost you more than you are willing to spend since you said you spent maybe only a few hundred. I can tell you this you will have to get frontline and heartworm prevention and stuff like that which isn't cheap and many more things that could or would go wrong that aren't cheap and since you #####ed about spending near 300.00 on a cat its best you not do this to yourself so we don't have to hear you ##### about having to spend money when you (who isn't a vet) seems to think you know it all when you sure as heck don't know jack.

No one is happy spending 300 on something that turns to be nothing.. so anyone can ##### about that..

When did she say we are getting a dog? She said she wants one... So do I  but we DO KNOW we have other things going on that prevent us from doing so because we DO KNOW what is right and wrong..

:nono: Don't you dare be nasty to JP. She is correct.

So for your "$300" you say you spent on your kitty, what did you as a pet owner have done? The cat is 15 yrs old and according to KVJ you guys had no history of this cat. You bring a cat into your house that could be sick and you b*tch about having to put out some money after a year of making the cat deal with having the runs. So you say you know whats right and wrong, do you? So its "just a 15yr old cat" and just because its old it does not deserve a proper check up? How do you know your cat is not starting to show signs of kidney disease or liver failure? (thats about the age my cat started and the same signs of kidney failure)

Oh I forgot everyone is out to get KJV :bigwhoop:

Hello XXXXX,

I have received and reviewed your application for adoption. Everything looks good but we do have another good applicant that applied before you coming to meet her. If things do not work out with that applicant I can let you know, but as of now that family is coming this weekend. Thank you for your interest and good luck with your search.

now really.... just think about this for a second.... you want me to start?
you are so right you took Fleas to the vet :bigwhoop: But you are not telling everyone that you declined the basic tests they would have run on ANY geriatric cat. Especially one that is having a health issue. And I do know what you guys spent that day... and it was not $300.
