Okay, I'm really kind of clueless about this kind of thing.

First thing is I am looking for a free or low cost hosting site to set up a webpage. I want the cabability to have a possible chat feature or message posting feature like FaceBook. I also want the ability to set up additional pages for things such as petitions. And probably half a million other things I am not thinking of.

I've been thinking about this for a while and I really want to do this page. I just don't know how I guess. So any advice or input is greatly appreciated.

Basically I want a page that is dedicated to voting all current politicians out of office. Not just Steny Hoyer, but all of them. I think we need a fresh wave/fresh faces in office. I want people to be able to post from all over about the problems they have faced with their politicians - the lies they have been caught in and the fact they don't listen to their actual constiuents and are too busy lining their own pockets, share suggestions on how to get the word out to others, and also propose viable other candidates in their area. I also want the ability to set up petitions and stuff to email to officials, such as Maryland, so that those of us, like Maryland, who don't have all the candidates (such as the Independents, Libertarians, et al) listed on the ballots since they aren't "official party candidates", to be listed on the ballots. I believe it's unconstitutional to only list the Dems/Republicans. There's more, but these are all free floating ideas that have been rambling around and I really need to stop saying I'm going to do it and just do it.

Again, any ideas, comments, suggestions and directions will be greatly appreciated.

are you looking for a forum like this? i don't know how easy it would be to find everything all-inclusive, but i'm sure you could set up a free webpage with some stuff, then maybe find a free forum elsewhere, and find each item you're looking for free and then link it all up.

Uh no. I don't want a forum I want a website with features. I found this Ready-Made Websites for Professionals and Hobbyists (http://www.ready-set-web.com/) but not all the links work for me due to my jobsite.

You don't have Verizon by any chance, do you?

You could use WordPress. They have alot of plugins also. It does take some technical skill, but anyone can learn to use it. You could also host your site on GoDaddy, like 4 bucks a month.

Sorry, yes, Verizon Internet. I have DSL and one of the perks is the ability to create and have your own web page. I believe it's free. I haven't used it.

Thanks. I'll check them both out.

Actually the only one that's a real one is Vote them out! Fire congress and take our country back! (http://www.vote-them-out.net/) Which is a little ugly and I would never take this guy seriously. Seems the rest of the ones at the top are place holders. Most are Go Daddy and I can buy the address.
