Someone please help me get it. Help me understand how someone with no discernible talent or even entertainment value becomes a popular recording artist.
While you're at it, help me out with Kanye West as well. TIA!

She's a hot tranny mess, so the gays love her, which in turn makes her a pop star. She's like the new Madonna. No discernable talent, but she puts on a show. I do kind of love "Just Dance". It makes me happy.

I don't know about Lady Gaga, but Kanye West has an easy answer. This #### right here was the bomb (of course, that was back when saying 'the bomb' was acceptable).

Odd, I was just looking up various videos on you tube and ran across a few of hers. They all sound the same; they all have that computer generated sound, but at first, catchy... then tiresome after a few listens.
She is no Pink, Christina... etc. that has variety in her songs and sound and I believe she'll fade out before to long!
Lady Gaga who? That is what they will be saying next year around this time!

I can't stand Lady Gaga. Not so much her music (as in the beat) but her lyrics are awful. The first time I heard my daughter sing "I wanna take a ride on you disco stick" I flipped. I turn the station if she comes on now. I didn't like her on AI because she had Adam Lambert written on her outfit and I didn't think that was nice as she was a guest on the show and shouldn't have shown a preference. JMO. She only supported him because he's gay.

See, and his "dual gender" gig was years ahead of its time. That's about 50% of the Emo movement, gender neutrality, androgeny, the lines between male/female gay/straight being blurred to create a global presence.
You got that part right.

:whispering: gasp, she's from the future!
:whisperingback: I hear a song of the past from the Commodores... "She's built like a brick *pause* house."

You're kidding me, right?
Um, no? Relationships always start the same... with a boy... and a girl... (unless it's same sex then it's boy-boy or girl-girl)... and a "huh" (as in, sexual attraction)... and a game. Anyone who says differently is lying.

Or maybe you just don't have enough life experience to fathom anything else.

All of life is a game... it's 50% luck and 50% skill at navagating the ever changing rules of society.
I mean... it's not like I heralded the lyrics "Boys boys boys/We like boys in cars/Boys boys boys/Buy us drinks in bars/Boys boys boys/With hairspray and denim/Boys boys boys/We love them!" as gospel.
In my experience, the story of a couple always starts the same... with a partner and a partner and a sexual tension and a navagation of society's mating rituals, which are not unlike a game.
