If you are a hiker , biker or just like walking, the new Indianhead Trail from White Plains to Indianhead is definitely for you.
It is a smooth, level (slight incline in places) quiet place to enjoy yourself. It passes by glasslike ponds, small streams and large Beaver Pond at the Indianhead sideAbundance of deer, birds and other wildlife. There are ample resting places along the way for those who are out for just a leisurely walk or ride and cannot do all or just part of trail. You are getting exercise and don't even realize and the time just goes by. Pleasant and friendly people that you meet along the way is a bonus. This is one of those few times that the county has spent funds for something truly worthwhile and all ages male and female can enjoy without spending money.

I totally agree. I have taken the kids there walking and it's wonderful. We walk and talk and have a lot of fun on it. Everyone you pass (which are few nd far between) says hello. It's a great way to spend an afternoon. I want to take our bikes next time.

I can't wait until the kids are a little older; I want to check out the trail. In fact, our neighborhood borders the trail, but we can't put an access to the trail unless we have 100% of the neighborhood agree. And there is a 0% chance of that, so we'll have the pile into the truck and go to the closest parking lot/access place each time.
