I Recommend this movie - kind of a combination of Blair Witch and the Exorcist. Actually had a hard time sleeping with the lights out!
I give it Five Stars for Freaky Horror Stuff.

I saw it last Saturday night. Definitely kept us all on the edge of our seats.
The time in the lower right corner was a great addition to the movie.
I liked the movie. :yay::yay:

So, what is it about?

We're going to see it sometime this weekend. I heard a film critic on The HLN Morning Show say that it scared the "beejebus" out of him. He said that it had been taking him HOURS to fall asleep every night since he'd seen it. I also read a blog from a 19 year old boy who said it freaked him out so bad he hadn't slept in 4 days.
I Can't wait!
Buddy.... read this article from screenrant.com....
Paranormal Activity Review - Screen Rant (http://screenrant.com/paranormal-activity-reviews-kofi-27600/)
SHORT VERSION: “Scariest Movie Ever” is a tall order to fill, but Paranormal Activity is definitely a serious fright flick that will continue to creep you out long after the movie ends.

The Exorcist was the scariest movie I ever saw. Left there feeling sick. The Blair Witch Project was just palin stupid. I might have made a good book, but I just can't get freaked out over getting lost in the woods and seeing little piles of twigs. I don't care who might be putting them there. So a combination? I don't think so, just a cheap film with no acting or special effects.

This movie is put together way better than Blair Witch. It is first person like Blair Witch; but with better effects, acting, suspense and terror.
This movie is done up more like in the style of Ghost Hunters. The simulated paranormal activity in the movie is done very well
I watched Blair Witch once and enjoyed it only on the first time (and I thought was decent, not excellent). This movie , on the other hand, is most likely going to be a classic (there is some seriously messed up stuff in it).
You should probably see this one. It's more on the level of exorcist with being scary.

Let me know if and when you guys are going, I might join ya' for a second showing.
The film was decent for a cheap production. They keep it scary by maintaining a technique used in some earlier horror films, not showing the Monster's face. You don't know what you're dealing with exactly and you don't know what to expect next.
The thing that scared me the most was that similar instances occurred in our house the first few years we were here. Just brought back some memories of when that happened and how frightening it was when it took place. You don't know how to react to it because you're not accustomed to it. You don't know what to expect from it and you you're uncertain as to what it is or wants exactly.
Obviously, a fake story but neat film overall.

Son saw it this afternoon with friends (Ghosthunters fan) -- his report:
"The movie wasn't even scary. It's actually pretty stupid after I watched it."
Of course, he is only 13 and I warned him that if he was too afraid to sleep, it was on him! :lmao: He's spending the night with his friend so it'll be interesting to see how much sleep he gets tonight! :lmao:

We just got home from watching this movie. STUPID STUPID STUPID! What a waste of money and time. Worst part is we went for the 8:00 showing.. power went out about 7:30 a transformer had blown. So at 8:30 they decided to cancel the 8 show. Didn't know if it would be back up before the 10:00 show.. I heard such good things about it we decided to wait it out... wish we hadn't now. Scary? Not at all

To each his own.
A lot of people don't like the home-made movie touch. I think it adds more originality and realism.

Interesting.... CBS news just had a segment on it. Budget of $15,000, 4 unknown actors. Originally posted on the Internet, and it wasn't until mainstream critics reviewed it that it took off. It's being shown in limited areas and limited seating, which drives public interest up even more (check out the South Park episode where Cartman buys an amusement park....). CBS showed in-theater audience reactions during the showing. Those people were jumping...

I'd recommend it too.
On the bad side - it made me sick for a few hours from the motion.
On the good side - at one point I found myself with tears welling up in my eyes it scared me so bad.
It was like all my little girl fears put into a movie, lol

The Exorcist was the scariest movie I ever saw. Left there feeling sick.
I took my sister to see the Exorcist several years ago when they brought back the uncut version. Everyone laughed and she thought I was silly for saying it was the scariest movie I'd ever seen.
Anyway, a couple of friends of mine saw it last weekend and told me it freaked them out. I might wait until it comes out on DVD.

Blair witch was simply stupid except for the tent scene and the kid in the corner.
The scariest movie of ALL time, bar none, is the Legend of Boggy Creek.
Quit laughing.

If you don't see it on the big screen, I can't imagine it'd be the same.
I still can't fall asleep at night, at least not without my head under the covers.

I don't know how some of you can say it wasn't scary!!!Just like pain, people have varying threshholds. I have not seen this, and I want to, but I am skeptical until I do; I remember the soaring reviews for Blair Witch and I thought that was dumb, save certain parts.

Am the only one who didn't think this movie was that scary? The ending was pretty good, but what about the other 3/4 or so of it? It took awhile to build up to any remotely frightening scene. But overall, I'd give it 2 1/2 stars.

Not too shabby for a movie made for only 15,000 bucks.
People expect this to be a blockbuster because of all the hype. In truth, it's just a cheaply done film that's interesting, unique and entertaining to me at least. This is a pop-culture film if you will.
