Geez, I can understand how annoying a screaming child is but I'm kind of surprised the flight crew would go to these lengths for some peace and quiet!

Southwest kicks mom, cranky kid off Calif. flight - News- msnbc.com (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33555007/?gt1=43001)

Over 78% of people who took the poll think the airline did the right thing in booting the little brat off.

Newsvine - Do you agree with the Southwest flight crew's decision to kick a mother and cranky 2-year-old off the flight? (http://travel.newsvine.com/_question/2009/10/30/3444379-do-you-agree-with-the-southwest-flight-crews-decision-to-kick-a-mother-and-cranky-2-year-old-off-the-flight)

That Mom could use a kick in the ass, too. Nobody wants to hear a screaming monster on an airplane. Control your kid or don't take him out in public.

We had a crying child a few rows behind us comming back from FL last month. By the time the 2 hour flight was over, most of the plane was ready to kick those people out. I would have thanked everyone one of the fight crew and gave them all a tip, if they had kicked that woman and her kid off the flight.

I also blame the Mom, not the kid. I'm sure the side of the story not being told here is that she was told numerous times to quiet her kid down. I'm not gonna lie, I have no patience for parents who don't control their kids.

Having said that, our little boy won't be flying until he's old enough to understand the words, "be quiet or you're grounded for a year!", I'm still surprised SW actually kicked them off the plane. I've never had that luxury when I had screaming kids surrounding me the whole flight!

When my daughter was 3 I took her on her first plane ride - we had to connect both ways. Each time we boarded a plane people would glare at her, kinda like "Oh great." She was a perfect angel on all legs of the trip (which I can't normally say about my kid).

Oh - and I was heavily armed with Bendaryl that I would have used if necessary!!

Yes M*A*S*H*. Your ghey Hawkeye went koo koo when a mother smothered her crying baby to avoid detection by the NK's. In his mental state he thought she smothered a chicken.

He's the reason that the show took a more anti-war slant as it progressed. It's why Wayne Rogers left the show.

And got replaced by that kook Mike Farrell. His rantings during the Tookie Williams execution was a textbook example of what happens when the mentally ill are allowed to run amok in society. A disgrace.
