Had the CO detector go off when the fireplace was going. I have a woodstove in the basement, and it appears as though "gases" were back-drafting into the home via it's flue.

I'm looking for recommendations for a chimney sweep who can also verify that the woodstove/fireplace flues are installed correctly.

This is in the Mechanicsville area.

Thanks!

We use Tri-County Hearth and Patio in Waldorf. They send a chimney sweep who checks our pellet stove, cleans everything and inspects the chimney, etc. I'm sure they handle wood burning stoves along with pellet stoves. It usually costs less than $150. We also live in Mechanicsville.
