What happened to all my Trick or Treaters? When I got home from dinner last night around 7pm, the streets were fairly empty and I still had half the candy left in the bin I put out. And it was good stuff, too!

We rarely see any kids at this end of our road. Not one trick-or-treat last night. :bawl:

We generally average 10 -15 Trick or Treaters every year so this year we bagged up 30 bags and left it in a bowl on the front step. When we came home the bowl was empty and my suspicion is one kids bag is extra heavy at the moment, flowing with snickers, heath bars, reese's, 100 grand, hershey bars and M&M's coming from my house

Oh well.......I didn't need the extra's anyway.

I had about 125 "kids" come to my house. Slightly higher than last year (was very cold last year) but less than previous years.

Thanks! Was wondering what to do with the ton of leftover candy we have. We hardly had any trick-or-treaters last night.

I bought a ton of candy and have an empty bucket to show for my money well spent! I'm glad my treaters had fun last night.

I didn't have as many kids this year as I've had in the past. I've got lots of candy left as well.

I was surprised by the number of kids that didn't go out last night and stayed home handing out candy with their parents.

And the even greater number of houses not giving out candy at all. We have to walk farther and farther each year to get to the houses that even participate. :lmao:

Didn't even give out a 1/10th of the candy we bought, had 3 come up and 15min. later 2 more, they got a butt load but it was still early so I didn't unload on them. I'm gonna take the rest to work and let everyone else get fatter so I won't feel so alone.:killingme

We hand deliver to the kids around us and ask them not to knock on our door (with all of the dogs it's just mayhem when that happens). We make sure to give them all a full size candy bar (or two) and then we go out for a few hours. Didn't see many kids out at all.

I went by Victoria's Grant and there were a crapload of cars parked all along the streets and spilling out to Buck Hewitt. Ended up needing more candy since there were so many people. Pembrooke had a bunch of people that were "visiting" as well. What's with that. Freeloaders!

Not everyone lives in a development. Where I live, the houses are far apart and it is not safe to walk along the roadways. Plus, many of the houses sit very far off of the road with very long driveways. So kids that live near us have to go somewhere else.

So they should either attend a community trick-or-treat thing, start one if one doesn't exist, or have their kids ride bikes from house to house. If parents aren't contributing to the overall pot of candy then it's just freeloading. Then people run out of candy because of the freeloaders and some of the neighborhood kids don't get any. That just sucks.

I don't have kids nor is my area one in which people come to freeload, I'm just making an observation.

Some churches also have things like "Trunk or Treat"

Lots left over here too.
I only gave out 5 boxes of raisins. Couple of 6 footers, some lady collecting with 2 bags for infants in strollers and one person who's boobs I thought were to big for a legitimate trick-or-treater. Since she had several tattoos on her back, I think I guessed right on that one.

Only 5 trick or treaters came to our house. I took my little sister out last night, and not very many houses participate anymore. Most likely because everyone takes their kids somewhere else to go trick or treating...

What about these tweens that don't dress up yet they have a pillow case for candy. I asked this kid where his costume was and he said he's dressed as 50 Cent, then his friends proceeded to ooooo and aaaahhhh over my van, taking pics in front of it and such

We got about 40 kids. My husband and 8 yr old passed out candy while the 5 yr old and I went trick or treating. I agree about the lack of houses handing out candy. We'd go to the first two houses on a street and the rest would be dark. Only stayed out about an hour and then headed home to help pass out candy.

I kept a few boxes in the Snickers bag to hand out. Little kid get a Snickers, same bag gets the adult a healthy snack

Didn't get any tweens this year.
...the rule is if they're guys they get raisins but if they're dressed like slutty females they get extra candy
