Does anyone know a person/company that could service our oil boiler. It needs tuned and the filter changed. We live in Western Charles County. Thanks for any help.

Besche or Southern Maryland Oil. Who delivers your oil?

Look in the yellow pages of your phone book under "OILS"
Pick one, call them

Thanks. I found someone (not in the yellow pages which is where I started) and the furnace is fixed.

You really ought to look at getting with a company (we have Southern MD Oil) and getting on their service plan, especially if you have an older furnace. Costs about $180 or so a year.
Doing so also gets you 24 hour emergency service calls, parts replacement, yearly cleaning and servicing, tank inspection, budget billing and automatic fill.
Our furnace was over 30 years old when we bought the house and SMO was out a lot for the next several years until the water jacket finally went and the furnace had to be replaced, which they also did. Also had to get a new tank and they took it away along with another one that had gone bad in the 60s.

Yes, I had the opportunity to that this year - we have Petro Oil - but because the boiler was brand new in January 2008 we didn't think we would need it. But, now I know that it should be serviced every year so when we renew with Petro or go with another company I will definitely get it. For some reason, I think Petro's service plan was much much higher and that was another reason we opted not to take the plan. Thanks.
