My soon to 13 year old son had his nose broke years ago (never fixed) no as he gets older it is very noticeably crooked. He wants to have it re-broke and have it fixed along with his deviated septum. Anybodys child ever gone through this? What are we in for? Good doctor?

Thank you
Please have it fixed! I have had a deviated septum since about that age and it affects my breathing ability... especially when I get congestion on the side that I normally breath best from.

That is exactly what happens to him. He on a normal day can hardly breath out of one side.
He wants to have this done over Christmas break so he doesn't have to deal with school..

My brother had his fixed years ago, and now wishes he had left it. Apparently they didnt do something right, so now he gets all kinds of ear infections and really cant breathe out of his nose now.

Mine was hit with a baseball bat when I was a kid. Took two surgeries to fix it so I could breathe through it. It doesn't look pretty, but that's not why I got the surgery and it didn't look pretty before he started either.

Wow do a lot of bad things happen with this kind of surgery??Didn't happen to me. Mine was just so messed up it took two surgeries to fix it. Worst part is you have to become a mouth breather for about a week. They pack it with gauze, etc and when he take it out and you take that first breath through your new nose, it's fantastic.
