Starters get hurt. Good teams get a little flat, bad teams get a little more focused. The nearest thing I've seen to a sure thing in this format was two years ago when the Pats slaughtered everyone, no matter the spread.

I'd love to claim all sorts of cryptic knowledge or god like status :drama: but, I've put FAR more effort into picks in past seasons and done just terrible. All I do now is look at the line, take my first reaction and then look for an intangible or two based on being a long time fan;

Skins always struggle in NY.

Teams that lose tough games and NEED a win, tend to get it the next week and play well (cover).

Good teams that win big games and then play a patsy usually win, but don't cover because they are flat.

There's always a Bengals type team that just get on a roll and overcome their dog status of the prior couple of years and beat long standing good teams. Just try and find them!

East coast teams struggle going to the West Coast.

If it snows, the Pats will slaughter everyone at home.

I mean, Bucs v. Pack. Pack loses a big, draining game the week before, the Bucs, no one is just impossibly bad, they're home...conversely, Falcons lose a big game, on Monday night no less, playing a bum and STILL win AND cover.

318 passing yards is complacent? Maybe he could use a little help with the running game. Heck, the Colts were expected to suck this year because they only had 2 WRs and a bunch of nobodies. The truth is, I've been dealing with some really sick kids at home, and every time I get 1/2 way through my pics I get side tracked and never get to finish picking to get them posted in time. It takes me awhile to make my pics, it's not like I can type a quick message and hit submit reply like I can to a regular thread.

I got 12 last week, and got thirteen this week, so I know if I auto pick again this week and do well, Rael will definitely give me the boot.

I got 12 last week, and got thirteen this week, so I know if I auto pick again this week and do well, Rael will definitely give me the boot.

It wasn't because of missing two weeks in a row, this was the third time. That just raised a flag to me, which is why I pm'd you.

Nor is it about if you non-select and do well. Good on everyone who does well, I say. To me, that's part of the fun. And I truly do understand that people have lives outside of here.
