Pretty much what the title said especially in comparison to Bush mainly though Palin is mentioned. How Obama is pretty much hands off to comedians. When he is 'joked about' it ends up defending him instead of making fun of him. I am only half way through though.

I'll make up for whatever these comic's don't want to say!
Barack Obama was seated next to a little girl on an airplane trip back to Washington. He turned to her and said, “Let’s talk. I’ve heard that flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.”
The little girl, who had just opened her book, closed it slowly and said to The Obama, “What would you like to talk about?”
“Oh, I don’t know,” said the Obama. “How about What Changes I Should Make To America?” and he smiles.
“OK,” she says. “That could be an interesting topic. But let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff – grass. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps of dried grass. Why do you suppose that is?”
Obama, visibly surprised by the little girl’s intelligence, thinks about it for a second and finally says, “Hmmm, I have no idea.”
To which the little girl replies, “Do you really feel qualified to change America when you don’t know sh*t?”

I've heard that one before except it was about nuclear power.

He was in NY. The lesson? Know your crowd.

I have to wonder (I can't view the video) what race was the comic?
From what I can tell, making fun of the President is reserved to those of a particular race, the same as the use of the 'N' word..
JUST an observation..

What are you complaining about? It was the same hands off policy for Bush, you just don't make jokes about political figures, it is not proper!

that's why i pointed out "know your audience". Leno and Letterman are expected to do that stuff. If you are making fun of Obama is a black Democrat ghetto area, you may not get a very good response. I don't know where the guy was, but if it was NY somewhere then odds are he made the wrong joke and they got sensitive about their savior.

True, but I thought it was odd that they made jokes about politicians and, then, had them on their shows. I still see it as odd for Letterman because he clearly hates the "right". Leno, at least, jokes about both sides so maybe he really IS just doing it for the laughs with no ulterior motive...???
