"An estimated 15-20 Million illegals are expected to demand the amnesty and then be able to each bring in up to 18 FAMILY MEMBERS as new immigrants. Estimations of illegals demanding amnesty have always fallen short."

And the day it happens they will get Health care. Good Googamooga.

The cost will be astronomical.

THAT"s how Obama can say NO illegals will get health care and say it with a straight face, and probably pass a lie detector test..

By the time 2015 rolls around and the health care bill is enacted.. there will be NO illegals in the US.

Last one out of Mexico, shut off the lights.

Ever been to Mexico? The lights don't work. That's why they wanna come here.

On another note, it will address the Wall Street desire for growth above all things.

I wonder how it will balance out. The drain they put on the economy vs. the money they will spend here?

They don't spend money. 38763476 live in one house..and they send money home. Maybe if they bring their family here..they won't have to do that anymore. But then again..buying horsehead soup is only a buck or two..so how much could they actually spend.

It's even funnier that people believe this crap...

There's no way anyone in their right mind is going to allow this to happen, its idiotic to comprehend... while we are at it.. we should build a big ass bridge so the Haitians don't have to build boats out of refrigerators to get here anymore.
I'm all for evicting Obamas ass to Mexico as is mostof the intelligent voting community..
But some of the things folks talk about are purely craptastic.

Vote Independant... Get America back... the fear mongering is getting rediculous, its not even politics anymore, its more like a ####in game show.

I don't think that's 100% true. When I lived in Pa, there were lots of migrant workers that picked apples. They acme in the store where I worked all the time and I got to know a lot of them, many of them were great people. The paid rent (regardless of the fact that the packed the house) they still paid rent. They bought food. They bought clothes. The bought gas for their cars. They went to walmart all the time. They went to the movies. They sent most of their money home, but they did spend money here. Even groceries. They live as cheaply as possible, but they still spend.

I don't think they aren't good people. We could use more of their work ethic here in the States. But what they spend is nothing compared to what they send home. And since they make next to nothing..

It is not only expected of the migrants to send money home, but the Mexican economy also relies heavily on the flow of remittances. Mexico's Central Bank reports that it received nearly $24 billion in 2007 and nearly $23.7 billion in 2006

Don't get me wrong. I am 100% against illegal immigration. I was just curious as to the impact of what they spend vs. what they cost.

18 family members? 1/3 of the country?

This would be a good time to consider annexing the entire nation.

If 1/3 of the mexicans each bring 18 family members that number would equall all of the mexicans in mexico.

I'm 100% against illegal immigrants and amnesty for any of them. Give all the unemployed citizens a job with the INS, gather up the illegals and deport the whole bunch. During this time, close off borders North and South.

Come visit Los Angeles County.....not parts like Beverly Hills or Malibu. With over 10 MILLION people, it's one of the poorest counties in the U.S. BECAUSE OF DECADES OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. That is a fact!

Many communities have ordinances concerning the number of people that you can have in a home.

How would you like to be the landlord of a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house that was occupied by a dozen adults and just as many kids for a year. Place is likely to be all tore up.

Years ago (1995) I worked part time up near DC. Employer had 180 employees. More than 100 were from El Salvador. I asked 1 guy, in my best pigeon spanish, how many years he's lived here. He replied 'Ocho anos'. I then asked him in English "Isn't it time you learned to speak English?" UFB lived here 8 years and didn't understand English.

I say work permit program. Let them come here, work, pay taxes, and go home. Many don't want to be seperated from their families. If our jobless rate gets any higher, Americans may start sneaking into Mexico... :coffee:

Nope. What about where they lived, their cars, schooling, the local economy getting used to their grocery buying, leisure spending, etc.

It is within the power of the government to set reasonable, rational LONG term immigration standards. We don't want 1,000,000 to come in this year and half leave next year. We'd prefer 250,000 come in this year and the same next year.

Stability. :buddies:

I just hate that so much of the money that should be in our economy...is supporting mexican gov't.

a reasonable program needs to exist for illegal aliens.
Starts with excellent border security.
it is illogical in the extreme to think that we can round em up and send them home. I say..we give them a grace period to go through the process to become a citizen. Amnesty? I guess. but its the only logical option..make them pay all fees associated..and make em legit. after the grace period..any that are found illegal (and status will be checked for everything, leases, jobs, when stopped by police). deport them. Immediately. no excuses. no ancher babies..no well my husband is a citizen. nothing. youre out of here.
Come to the states the right way. It is a safety matter that we know who and when someone is coming here.
cap the amount of money that is allowed to be sent home..and tax it heavily. ..As they say..tax something and you get less of it.
cap the amount that can come in the country each year...and anyone coming in without authorization will be immediately deported. We will have no ancher babies..no marrying a citizen. none of it. You go through the process or you are gone. thats your one chance..you try to come in the right way after that. Nope. Break the law and you are not allowed here.

Absent the money from the US, Mexico collapses and descends into chaos and we end up with refugees anyway. This way, at least Mexico stays on it's feet.

but..but...I wanna live in cancun :(

really though..we should own them. make it so they have limited rep..for say, the next 50 years..by then they should be americanized enough so that we can make them a couple of "real states" It would take some up front money..roads..water, sewer, some industries....but with tax payers from there...all money into our economy.. no strain from illegal immigration.. plus a little bit of tourism money....it oughta even up.

I find it interesting that, the mexicans created a hellhole in their own country, so they look at the U.S and decide to escape to the greener pastures.
then when they get here, they want laws changed to make it more like where they just came from.

do they not realize that their way of thinking in the first place is what allowed mexico to become and remain that hell hole?

they need to go back and fix their own country.

The migrant workers I knew in Pa lived in special barracks type apartments that were specifically made for them. I"m sure many others lived in town. I guess it's up to the landlord to make sure they state in the lease the number of occupants that are allowed.

And yeah.... I def. agree on the speaking english part. Sometimes I stop buying a product that goes out of it's way to translate everything in spanish on the back... like shampoo. UGH.
