There are almost 2500 registered users here. A lot of them have never posted or they've posted once or twice, a long time ago. Most other forums I've been on will delete your registration if you don't post at least once in a while. Why don't you do that?

I've wondered the same thing from time to time. Like if someone is inactive for 6 mos. or a year or whatever that username could get deleted.

Do you mean me? I'm just curious. I would imagine it would be more efficient if admin cleaned up the members list a little. There are pages and pages of people who've never even posted.
Why even register, if you aren't going to post? You can read this forum without registering.

Why don't you do that? No reason to. Plus, the forums shares a database with other features so if we delete them out of here, they won't be able to do any of that other stuff.

We have gone through before and cleaned out unused accounts. Like if they registered more than 6 months ago and have never posted. Maybe I'll do that again.

I doubt anyone is going back a year or more to read old posts, If someone's been away that long they probably aren't coming back. Plus, if they only have one or two posts to begin with, they haven't contributed all that much anyway.
Gotta make sure I post with all 26 of my MPD's before Vrai cleans house.

Whatever.
I don't care, I was just curious. On other boards I've been on, they delete you if you don't post at least once every 30-90 days, depending on the board.
I assume it makes things more efficient or something. I just happened to be looking at the members list and I noticed a bunch of people don't post. I was just wondering why, that's it, no big deal.

Maybe Hot Buttered Toast is upset because the user name they wanted to use was already taken by someone who registered over a year ago, and has 0 posts.

Because some of the members may be military, it's possible thay could be deployed for 6 months, a year or longer. I don't think they will be too happy after getting back to have to register all over again. They couldn't help it they were away too long.

Ok...so send them an e-mail and tell them they will be deleted unless they start to post their azzes off.

The only PM's I have gotten were from JH saying he hadn't gotten any either. So that tells me that the forums PM's are just as lame as the forums themselves today. :bawl:

Well, my theory is that one of the five people on the forums is preoccupied with business they don't want all over the forums and that person and all of their MPDs are away for the day. And the other four people and their multiple MPDs can't keep up with the slack.

my theory is that when a guy or girl is lookin' for a potential mate on the forums... they don't want to have to go through all those inactives who wouldn't check their email or pm's if they wanted to send them one...

So in other words, when you were a newbie, you sent out mass emails to anything that seemed vaguely female.
