My husband was hit head-on in DC and rode for a while after that, then all of the sudden, he gathered up his stuff and sold it. It was something he did and he swears it wasn’t the accident either.

I was eyeing the Sahara Vest (http://www.newenough.com/joe_rocket_sahara_vest_page.htm). Click on the "Larger Picture" and they even have a scan of the instructions.
I found a Mister bottle at WalMart a couple of years ago. Little water bottle with a pump to pressurize the bottle and a 3' hose with a mist spray nozzel. Worked pretty good on the bike till the nozzel cloged. :ohwell:

The Icon is more of a sport bike type of jacket, but you should get the one YOU prefer.
Which Icon model is that?

Yeah, I like the style of Icon stuff, but they don't seem to armor their gear much (other than the titanium plates on the jacket). Although, I do like my TiMax gloves...they look absolutely EVIL!

Mine are long black gloves. Despite the looks, they are actually very comfortable. :yay:

Got the Cortech Breeze mesh jacket yesterday from motorcycle superstore. Tried on the ride in this a.m. and I'll probably go back to the leather for a while or wear more than a shirt underneath. Even with the full liner it was a little chilly. Nice jacket though.

Wore my First Gear mesh in this morning, not to chilly but I've only got a 7 mile drive.
Does the liner in the Cortech have sleeves?

Does the liner in the Cortech have sleeves?
Yep, they don't fasten at the sleeve end so I've got to remember to hold the end when I pull it off. I could feel the breeze on the arms on the way on base, but my cool orange vest kept it off my chest. When I got on base and close to work I took it off and it got a little cool. It should be great this afternoon.

Hit the Old Navy store, a thin fleece jacket/pullover works great for an insulated liner.
Gloves with gauntlets will keep the breeze out of your sleeves in the morning. The Aerostich (http://www.aerostich.com/home.php) site has a good selection of gloves and lots of good stuff.
