Welcome back for week 11. This week I am going to try a different format; tell me what you like better.

WHO TO ADD: Patrick Crayton and Jason Campbell are the two definitely worth picking up. Crayton has established himself as one of Romo’s favorite targets but Campbell has yet to prove himself. In leagues that start 2 QBs, he will likely be a decent number 2. As long as the starters are injured, Anthony Thomas (BUF), Seneca Wallace, and Maurice Morris (SEA) are all great additions. Both RBs have proven themselves the past couple weeks to be great number twos and even be number ones on some teams. Seneca Wallace could be a good number two on most teams. Pittsburgh and Ben Roethlisberger gave everyone a good reason why you should let your starter fully recover if the backups are getting the job done. Pick up Trent Geen, he has been cleared to play this week and named the starter. Wali Lundy has been the only constant RB in HOU. Not consistent in stats, but consistently playing. He has shared time with Samkon Gado and Ron Dayne throughout the season. Pick him up but don’t play him until he is the clear go-to running back. To much dismay in the SOMD area, Clinton Portis is out for the season. Ladell Betts stepped in nice against Philly but TJ Duckett was doing the most in the beginning of the season; my money is on Betts taking over.

INJURY REPORT:
Clinton Portis – Out for the season; Ladell Betts played well in his place last week.
Joe Horn – Q; said he was ready to play last week and likely will this week.
Vernon Davis – Q; likely to return to practice this week, I would risk playing him.
Brandon Stokely – Q; right now I would say don’t play him but I’ll update you throughout the week.
Josh Reed – Out; should help Lee Evans, but then again I thought that last week.
Shaun Alexander – Q; has been cleared to practice starting Wednesday but has not fully healed. I’ll keep you posted.
Matt Hasselbeck – Q; ran drills Monday with limited mobility, Homgren said if he doesn’t move better Friday then he won’t play Sunday. Look for an update late Saturday/ early Sunday.
Willis McGahee – Out; Anthony Thomas has proven to be a great RB the past two weeks.
Ronnie Brown – Q; played through the injury last week and will likely do it again.
Tony Gonzales – Out; If you have a backup that was worth keeping, play the backup, if not, go get one off waivers but be careful who you drop to get him.
Byron Leftwich – Q; He might not play the rest of the year, he might play this week. Don’t play him until we know for sure.
Marcus Robinson – Q; He is likely to return this week and the Vikings need him.
David Givens – Out for the season; Drew Bennett should be fine in his place.
Aaron Brooks – Q; He’s been out most of the season but Walter took some mouthy shots at the offense. Brooks will probably start but he has proven why he should not be played in most fantasy leagues. I wouldn’t urge you to pick him up but he could give some life to Oakland.
Terry Glenn – Q; It doesn’t look like he will get much attention when he is healthy anyway.
Tiki Barber – P; Tests were negative on his thumb and he hasn’t taken any pain medication. He will likely start this weekend and there has never been a reason not to start him on your fantasy team.
Muhsin Muhhamad – Q; Will likely play this week.

WHO TO PLAY: Below is the new format for who to play in each game:

ATL at BAL

Vick – Which Vick will we see this week? B’more leads the league in INTs. Good number 2.
Crumpler – Had a low week against CLE. Start him this week.
Dunn – Which Vick will we see this week? Low end number 2.
Lelie – Regardless of Vick’s play, sit him.
White – See Lelie.
Jenkins – Atlanta has a number 1 WR? Yes, and he has 4 TDs. Number 3 on your team.

McNair – Won’t be as big this week, good number 2.
Heap – Will be getting a good number of balls this week and should get in the end zone. Great starter.
Lewis – He has 1 100+ yard game this year with 3 games over 20 attempts and 2 touchdowns. Don’t expect many yards but he is due for a score. Low end number 2.
Clayton – He’ll be covered by DeAngelo Hall. It won’t be a fun day for him. Decent number 3.
Mason – Todd Heap will be the go-to guy this week. McNair and Mason were just trying to show up TEN last week. Don’t play him.

BUF at HOU

Losman – With byes in the past you shouldn’t even own him.
Thomas – The best thing to happen in Buffalo since… Willis McGahee. Should start or be a high number 2.
Evans – He’ll get some yards and might get a TD. Low end number 2.

Carr – Has a great rtg at home against worse teams. 200+ yds and 2 TDs is in his future. Start him.
Lundi – Unless the Texans get another running back again, this guy shouldn’t be played unless it’s in the WR/RB spot.
Gado – Don’t play him.
Johnson – Expect 100+ yds and a TD. Start him.
Daniels – The guy is fairly consistant and will be started over most TEs.

CHI at NYJ

Grossman – It seems as though Grossman is back on track and the Jets aren’t a team to stop him. Should be a great starter.
Jones – Should have another great week. Start him.
Muhammad – Berrian is still out, start him again.
Clark – See Muhammad (above).

Pennington – The Jets are hopeful but Chicago’s D is nasty. I would make him a low number 2.
Barlow – Is he gonna be the main man this week? I don’t know either.
Washington – See Barlow.
Coles – He’s been in a slump lately. It might get better, but not much. He should be a low number 2.
Cotchery – The guy is fun to watch and has great agility. He should be a great number 2.

CIN at NO

Palmer – He’s Carson Palmer, start him.
Chad Johnson – He’s Chad Johnson, start him.
Housh – Housh has been great all year and should be a low number 1 – high number 2.
Henry – Henry has been a great no 3 reciever. He should be a decent number 2 for you.
Rudi – He’s Rudi, start him.

Brees – Did you see what PR did last week? Brees leads the league in passing yards this year. Start him.
McAllister – Should be a great number 2.
Bush – The guy hardly even has any stats. Nuff said.
Colston – Leads the league in reception yards, start him.
Cooper – Last week was his turn to replace Joe Horn. I wouldn’t even bother having him on your team.
Horn – Not sure of his status, it’d be safe to sit him this week.
Henderson – I wouldn’t even have him on your team.

MIN at MIA

Johnson – Hasn’t done much all year. Get rid of him.
C Taylor – He should be a regular number 2 on most rosters.
T Taylor – Just in case he finally has a big game, he could be a decent number 3.
Robinson – Played in half of the games this year and leads the team in receiving TDs. Make him a number 2.

Harrington – He’s number one on the depth charts now. He shows potential to be a good number two but the Vikes have a pretty good defense.
Brown – Should play through the injury and be a great number 2.
Chambers – Low number 2
Welker – Low number 3
McMichael – Isn’t the TE he used to be.

NE at GB

Brady – The Pack is tied for 6th most Passing TDs allowed. Start him.
Moroney – I’d play him as a low no 2 this week.
Dillon – He’s catching up with Moroney on rushes and yards and already has more TDs. He’s a mid number 2.
Gabriel and Brown are tied with the most receiving TDs on the team, both are high number 3s.
Watson – Leading receiver on the team, will start on most teams.

Favre – He’s only thrown 2 INTs in the last 5 games. He should be a high number 2 and a number 1 on some teams.
Green – His best games were against lesser opponents. NE won’t be one of them. He might get a TD but I’d make him a low number 2.
Driver – Favre’s been able to find him pretty well lately. He’s a starter for most teams.
Jennings – The rookie will find his place on top within the next couple years. For now he is a low number two.
Martin – He’ll start on very few teams.

OAK at KC

Brooks – He’d be a risky number 2 as he hasn’t performed well and he may not start.
Walter – Read above
Jordan – It’s hard to run when your team is always behind. Another risky number 2.
Moss – Hasn’t done much this year. At best he’s a number 3.

Green – As I was writing this he was named the starter. I’d only put him as a number two for now though.
Johnson – He has 8 TDs in the last five games plus he’ll be taking more passes this week with Gonzales out. OAK will let you run all over them, start him.
Kennison – Hasn’t done much this year but with Gonzales out I would put him as a low number 2.

PIT at CLE

Roethlisberger – Is he back to the Ben everyone praised? I’m not sure, but he should do good in CLE regardless. He’s a low starter still.
Parker – This team is pretty happy and plays a great second half of a season. Start him.
Ward – Starter on some teams and should be played on just about all of them.
Miller – It’s hit or miss with this guy. He’s borderline top 12.

Edwards - The best WR... player on the team is a good number 3.
Jurevicious – The second best player on the team is barely worth playing

Only 10,000 characters per post, hang on for part 2.

STL at CAR

Bulger – Half of his games are for over 300 yards and he only has 2 picks. Start him.
Jackson – He’s scored in 5 of the last 6 weeks and has picked up good yards doing so. Did I mention he’s the Rams no. 2 receiver? He’s a good starter.
Holt – He might be moving back up, I’d make him a number 2.
Bruce – A guy his age shouldn’t be allowed a 14.8 avg. He’s a high number 3.
Curtis – He’s a risky guy to play. I’d put him as a number 3.

Delhomme – He should make a good number 2 that could even outscore your number 1. Could…
Foster – He made it this far without an injury? OK, well make him a low number 2 or your WR/RB.
Williams – Don’t even play him until Foster is out of the picture.
Steve Smith – He’s gonna be the best WR on most teams.
Keyshawn – Still a great number 2.

TEN at PHI

Young – Not quite the Michael Vick everyone thought he’d be. I wouldn’t even have him on my team… this year.
Henry – The only guy who can run better then Young. He’s a decent number 2.
Bennett – His stats are like a roller coaster ride. Make him your number 3.
Scaife – Like the rest of the Titans, he’s no superstar. He’ll start on some teams.

McNabb – He’s had a couple bad weeks; he’s also had 2 350+ yd games. Start him.
Westbrook – The guy’s over 1000 yds combined and has 7 TDs, start him.
Brown – He should be a low number 2.
Stallworth – He’s a number 3 guy.
LJ Smith – Not many TEs are better than him, start him.

WAS at TB

Campbell – He’s coming into a bad situation. Only die hard Skins fans would start him.
Betts – The only constant thing when he gets playing time. He’ll get some extra attention since Campbell is in. Make him a number 2.
Moss – Most of his stats came against JAX and it could be a painful couple weeks with Campbell. He’s risky, but at least a number 3.
Cooley – He’s still worth starting. Campbell will use him to dump the ball off.

Gradkowski – Why do you even have him on your team?
Williams – He’s had 1 TD all year, why are so many people starting him? He’s a number 2 at best.
Galloway – He’s the best thing happening in Tampa Bay but he’s only a low end number 2.

DET at ARI

Kitna – Thanks to Roy Williams he has some stats, he also doesn’t have a sub 200 yard game yet either. He’s a low starter, if you play 2 QBs, play him.
Jones – He should be a good starter this week.
Williams – The guy is talented, there will be weeks where he underperforms, but I would play him every week.
Furrey – He seems to get more stats against better opponents. Arizona isn’t one of them. Let him sit.
Campbell – This is the best season of his career. Don’t start him.

Lienert – A rookie Cardinal is never a good thing to start.
Boldin – Low number 2.
Fitz – A little bit higher number 2.
Edge – At best, he’s a number 2.

SEA at SF

Wallace – There’s a slight risk of putting him as your number 2 guy. Would you play Hasselbeck if you could rest him for another week?
Morris – Same as the Wallacae/Hasselbeck situation.
D Jack – The guy is good. He should be starting every week.
Branch – If your team allows 3 or more receivers play him.
Stevens – He should be played in most leagues this week.

Smith – Sure he put up some numbers against Oakland, so could I. He’s better used on the FA market.
Gore – He makes a good number two, sometimes a good number one, but settle with number two.
Bryant – Has good numbers in division games, he’s a safe number 2.
Davis – Should be back this week and is a decent TE. If you aren’t sure, play him.

IND at DAL

Peyton – Talk about getting frustrated, I did last week. He’s still Payton and he should still be played.
Wayne – His numbers and Harrison’s are pretty close. He’s still got Payton and he should still be played.
Harrison – Despite where he lines up, he’s turning into the number 2 guy. He’s still Marvin Harrison and he should still be played.
Clark – Are you getting the hint yet?
Addai – He’s a low starter, definitely a number 2, plus he’s got Peyton.

Romo – Cowboys fans haven’t been this happy in a long time. Romo should start in most leaugues.
TO – TO
Crayton – I told you so.
Jones – I’d say play him over Barber this week. Unless you have two constant threats, play him.
Barber – He’s a risky third.
Witten – Another good TE.

SD at DEN

Rivers – You didn’t think he’d be this good and he’s still better than you think he is. Denver’s got a top defense though, so make him a number two (behind Palmer).
Tomlinson – If I could, I would have him drafted for the next 10 years, and I’d play him every week.
Gates – Play him
Parker – He’s a low number 3.

Plummer – With only 4 200+ yd games this year he is a low end number two.
Tatum Bell – I wouldn’t even play him against a Chargers defense.
Mike Bell – He might get a TD, but it’s a tossup between him and Tatum. I wouldn’t start him either.
Walker – The Chargers having the number 1 pass defense is a thing of the past, start him.
Smith – He could be a good number 3.

NYG at JAX

Eli – Bledsoe is the only person to throw for over 200 yards in Jacksonville, who also kept Pennington below 100 yards. Eli would be a risky second.
Tiki – Leon Washington is the only player to run for more than 100 yards in Jacksonville. If he can do it, so can Tiki, play him.
Jacobs – Sure he’s risky, but he can be a good number two at times. Unless you have 2 top RBs, play him.
Burress – There isn’t much of a WR corps to shut down but he’ll at least be a good number 3.
Shockey – Not many TEs are better than he is, play him.

Garrard – He’s a risky start and the Giants have a good defense. I wouldn’t play him.
Taylor – He’s at least a good number two.
Jones-Drew – He can be a number two, but I wouldn’t play him unless you have a WR/RB position.
Williams – It’s hard to tell but I’d say he could be a decent number 3 (playing him is less risky than playing Santana Moss).

There you have it.

ESPN.com is saying Shaun Alexander will start this week. Start him.

Chester Taylor or Ladell Betts?

DungeonMaster

Betts; TBs run defense is a good bit worse than Miami's plus when you put a new QB in the mix you rely on the run game a little more.

...what does your crystal ball say about Jason Campbell?

...what does your crystal ball say about Jason Campbell?

It says his inexperience will at best make him a risky number 2 QB. Rookies and old guys aren't reliable, rookies less reliable than old guys, and the skins went from one to the other. While at least he played for a big school, it still isn't the pros. Very few rookies ever make much of an impact and even if a guy is great in college doesn't mean he is fit to be a pro, ask Ryan Leaf. Even Peyton Manning only had a 71.2 QB rtg his rookie year and Eli had a 55.4. Ben has been the only recent rookie to have a great rating, with a 98.1. Getting some time in this year will be great for Campbell next year though and he could then be a low starter or great backup.

Why does everything you ever say sound like what I hear, or read off of ESPN, or yahoo sports...

Probably because there's a good chance of it being true. I'm sure their sit start is different than mine again though. Remember, they told you to sit Chad Johnson last week.

OK kid, you ready for something different? I looked at what one of the other sites is saying, and they say to start a Seattle QB, but nobody knows which one. Their RB situation is also not decided yet and they are saying sit Maurice Morris. I say start Morris over Alexander. Seattle is playing the 9ers this week and once they are up enough, even if Alexander starts, Morris will see some time and they will be running at that point. As far as the QB situation goes, you probably won't know which one to play until game time, which means flipping the coin when you are deciding. While SF does give up a lot of passing yds and a lot of passing TDs, who is going to throw them? You are better off playing D Jack, Stevens, and even putting Branch in as a #2 or 3. SF also has given up the third most rushing TDs in the league.

They say start Delhomme against the 10th best pass defense in the league. He will probably get a TD or two, but he might not be the best QB on your team for this week.

They say sit Ben against Cleveland. While Cleveland has a great pass D, the Steelers found their Championship contender team last week. I wouldn't expect him to put up the same numbers he did last week, but I'd rate him right behind Delhomme because he has only done it once this year.

They say sit Fred Taylor against a banged up Giants D. He is due for his injury of the year but the Giants already allow 97.4 rushing yds/game and 8 TDs. Taylor has over half of the rushing yards for the team and the Jags didn't use Jones-Drew as much last week.

They say start Chambers whose stats look like a richtor scale against a Minnesota D that only allows a 58.6% completion and is on the low end of passing TDs allowed.

They say sit Philip Rivers. The Broncos have seen what LT has done the last couple weeks and will not allow that to happen to them. LT is going to be played like he was in the beginning of the season and the Bolts will have to use the pass more. Expect him to throw a pick to Champ Bailey, but also realize the Broncs allow the sixth most passing yds/ game.

They say start Joey Galloway, who has had 3 good games this year. They are playing a Redskins team who might be finding some new life in Jason Campbell. Even if Campbell doesn't do so great, new life fires up a defense too.

There you have it, where I disagree with the guys getting paid a lot more than me.

DungeonMaster

Indianapolis' worst run defense and 7 20+ yarders help Julius Jones more than Marion Barber, plus Baltimore's run D has allowed over 70 yds and a TD from each leading rusher the past two weeks. BAL has only allowed 5 rushing TDs all year, 4 in the last 2 weeks. I say go with Dunn.
