Don't. WAY to hard to follow and we were left  As were others in the theatre at the end.

Ummm, yeah...weird. Probably not even worth seeing on DVD...unless you're high or something :lmao:

It was well-crafted and thought-provoking, but way too rushed. It needed more character development. Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz were both great, though, and did their best with thin concepts-posing-as-characters.

More like scattered and mind numbingly dull. I don't really get what the point was. :ohwell:

Wouldn't you say the point was the protagonist's journey towards accepting his wife's death and coping with the grief?
Also, in my opinion...
Neither the past nor present truly occurred. The past, following the conquistador, were the initial chapters in the wife's novel. The conquistador represents her husband, searching for the cure. And the future is the last chapter by the husband, with the astronaut representing him coming to terms with his grave loss.
At least this is what I thought. I found the film very moving and well-made. Guess this is the kind people either LOVE or HATE. lol
