WickedWrench have a family reunion?

I hear them all the time but rarely see them. I did take my dogs for a walk through the woods tonight and saw three deer, a possum, and a raccoon, plus an assortment of birds.

I counted 11 deer in one big group that went through my backyard last night. I can sit on the back deck real quiet and still and they act like I'm not even there. They always follow the same path. I guess they know hunting season is finally over.

About 15-20 feet. It's a cropped photo of about a 200mm lens shot. Through the kitchen window, but when I tried with the window open they could hear the shutter and that was all for them. You got some good pictures.

Good morning everyone !

We love to watch the birds in our backyard ... we have lots of woodpeckers ... saw a pileated woodpecker a few days ago but he took off before I could get a pic... but the cardinals , esp this male one in the pic, love to pose for me Now if we could just figure out how to keep the raccoons from stealing the suet right out of the baskets !

Ive had alot of little peckers this winter more then the past and a few big peckers (must be the viagra)
The little woodpeckers love the suet cakes. Ive had alot more cardinals this year then past years and a few blue jays which I have never had many of in past years.
Sunday morning I was looking in the area of the bird feeder and saw my first bluebirds of the season one male, one female, so I went out and evicted the sparrows from the bluebird houses in hopes that they may settle in my yard this year instead of down the road. I use to always get bluebirds settling in the houses, but past 2 years they have passed me by.

Our bluebirds have been hanging out and looking at our houses recently. We usually have a nesting pair every year.
