Authors are still invited to apply.

The wiki is now back in the master search engine:

http://search.somd.com/

The forums are also being worked back into the master search engine as I write this. The engine provides an integrated search engine for every thing So. Maryland. All the good, authoritative information with the junk filtered out.

Thoughts for this Rainy Late Sept. Day...

As I skim the "New Posts" headings in the forums today, I realize that I simply do not have anything to offer on today's political warfare or even the local war being committed on ourselves and each other in the form of kidnapping, armed robbery, murder, suicide, vehicular manslaughter, and more, ugh.

I escaped to a world of larged fenced in areas of grassy spaces, where my dogs could roam free and my head could clear too. My biggest problem encountered was getting wet and having 10 muddy feet to clean before re-entry into the house.

All of the drama and "ugh" is still here. I was pretty sure I wasn't going to escape it forever, but a little while is alright by me.

There is something to say about an early Fall rain, that if not too cold, it can cleanse you a bit.

I guess you just have to step out into it.

Training Log II

Haven't posted in a while. Was using another site but it is down currently. So I am coming back here.
I am training unequipped right now. After my bomb on 20April, I took a whole week off. No training of any sort. I cam back the next week and tested myself on my lifts unequipped. I also tested some other things. Here are my numbers

Squat (belt and wrist wraps only) = 500
Bench (belt and wrist wraps only) = 335
Deadlift (belt) = 500
1 mile run = shade under 8min (did not push hard)
Chinups = 8 (I am better at Pullups)
Weight = 220

I did this for a change. I am going to work on getting these numbers better while dropping some bodyfat. I don't wish to lose weight or size, however I think this will be inedible. I am experimenting right now.

As of today, when I am writing, I am at 216 solid. I tinkered with carbs for 4 days (near 0) but added them back in. I am rotating between a low/med/high carb system. One cheat meal/week. I have also added vegetables in everyday so far. This was seriously lacking previously!

My training has been good. My plan is to use 4 week blocks. 3 weeks on, 1 week deload. ME/RE/DE Upper/Lower split. ME days I will rotate 5 movements. I will also be using 3-5reps instead of singles for a while. DE days will be used every other week in favor of adding more RE work in. RE work will be in high use.

I am also adding some conditioning work in. Not much different than what I used to do but more running. I will start with 2 days/week. Recovery work will be done during this time too.

I may do the APA/Maximum Fitness on 19July. If I do, I may even do it unequipped. I am still undecided. I plan on competing equipped again in Dec at the IPA Christmas Carnage Meet. Hopefully, I put up a better, focused performance.
