Less likely to die

Event statistics indicate that if you actually sit in a classroom to take a boating safety course you are less likely to die in a boating accident.

There could be lots of reasons. I'd like to think it has something to do with the quality of instruction you get from the Auxiliary and the Power Squadrons. Experienced boaters with safety in mind make the difference for you.
