Light chick crime novels, similar to the Stephanie Plum series except Kinsey is a private investigator instead of a bounty hunter. Also, the Grafton series takes place in the 80s, which is why Kinsey doesn't have a cellphone, internet, etc.

I love Lisa Jackson's murder mystery books. They are the most unique I have ever read and I don't stump all that easily.
