I read the first one and I'm waiting to get the second and third books. It cracks me up when people complain about books being too "easy" or crap like that. Why does it matter if people like reading entertaining books? Life is too serious as it is, and I know I like to be entertained when I'm reading, or else I'll get bored. If I want to escape from the stress of every day life, why not? If it's a YA sparkly vamp book, so what? If it's a "mommy porn" book, so what? Life is too short to be a pretentious reader.

What has been read cannot be unread. Darn the luck.

I downloaded the Kindle sample and couldn't even get through that. Help me understand why this is a bestseller? The writing is juvenile and ridiculous.

I saw an 80ish year old woman check this out at the library today. Get it, girlfriend!

I did get the trilogy from Amazon.

I'm ashamed.

I either need to write or I need to be a bus monitor.

Well, I have to say, the second book was definitely not my favorite. The third was better.

Yes, the writing is very bad and the story is totally unbelievable but it sure is interesting. I, personally, found it fun to just play around in that imagination land for a little while but I can certainly see how the story isn't for everyone. My husband tried to read it to see what all this sex hype is all about but he just couldn't stand it. And that actually turned out to be quite a good thing because I got to explain it to him instead :D

FIrst, I haven't read the books.

Secondly, I want to. If nothing else, just so I know what all the hype is about.

Third. One of my sisters called me Saturday. She had to tell me a little story. She's at work and her friend asks her, have you read Fifty Shades of Grey yet. She said no. So her friend tells her to pick up the series at BJs.

Saturday morning she goes to BJs and picks up the books. Still has no idea what the book is about. She gets home and starts reading. And reading. And reading. I started laughing. She said "Have you heard of these books?" She says, "I didn't realize they are porno books". She said I walked all over BJs with those porno books in my cart.

Monday she goes to the doctor. She takes the book with her because she can't put it down, but she doesn't want anyone to know what she's reading, so she puts a piece of paper over the book while she's reading. She said this 80 year old lady is sitting beside her in the waiting room. Eventually the lady leans over and says "What page are you on? It doesn't get really good til near the end".

Monday night she's got the book sitting beside the bed. Her husband walks in and says "What are you doing reading a porno book?". Then she said, "Am I the ONLY person in America that didn't know what this book was about?"

I asked her to put them in the mail to me when she's finished with them
