It was definitely awesome! I read the book first and that was just as good (if not better)

It was a decent movie. The film was convoluted and a tad overlong, but the dynamite performances delivered by Sean Penn and Tim Robbins (wow, I bet Rush Limbaugh would've loved to spend time on this movie set! ) compensated.

Even though I loved their performances, however, I was disappointed Penn and Robbins won Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor. I was pulling for Lost In Translation's Bill Murray and 21 Grams' Benicio Del Toro in those respective categories.
