Look my nerves are a little raw right now from having to explain to my sons that their cat is missing and my 10 yr old's not taking it so well, so please excuse me if I'm not in the best of moods at the moment.

Oh, he loves that. What time do you want me to drop Slash off? You can be his new forever mommy.

And taking it out on someone who complimented your pet is the appropriate course of action? Little advice.... Chill.

I actually JUST went through this same thing a few weeks back. We moved into a new house on a Friday on Sunday our 1.5 year old male cat ran out the door. I didn't see hide nor hair of him for almost a week. Then one day he just showed back up in the yard hungry and wanting to come in. My advice when it comes to the Tri-County shelter is to forget calling and go up there. It's cat season and they're overwhelmed.

Okay, and why is it that he needs a new mommy? And how do I convince daddy?

Well you don't have to be so mean.

I was at the shelter two day ago, gave them all my info, and looked at all the cats. No sign of him. And I was responding not to the compliment, but to the 'can I keep him' part of the statement.

It doesn't matter what part of her statement you were responding to your response was b!tchy. She didn't open the door and let your cat out. She complimented your cat and the second part of her statement was CLEARLY a joke.
