Picasso is doing much better. He is up and moving around and hes eating pretty good. The only bad thing was tonight i picked him up after he went potty (diareah sp) and got some on my jeans which is no biggy they are going in the wash to be washed. I think the direah could be from the antibiotic/food combo I will be talking to the vet about this tomorrow as I think she is going to want him to be on this stuff til he packs some lbs on as he only gained 20ozs at his last visit and she said he is way too skinny. I will try to get a pic later but so you all know he hasn't had his hair brushed today and looks a little on the rough side.

I got bad news gang. Picassos rbc went back to 22 and the vet thinks hes got lukemia so all i can do for now is just keep him comfortable since he seems to be doing better he put on about a little over .5 of a lb and hes moving around and all that jazz and he now tells me when he is hungry even at 1am he gets up on the bed and tells me as loud as he can til i get up and take care of him. I have to email the vet weekly and giver her a status report as to how picasso is doing. She told me if he stops eating again and starts getting really shaky its time I bring him back in and ummm u know its very depressing to me right now I can't say the word sorry gang. I will try and take a picture later of him today or sometime tomorrow so you can see how he looks.

I don't understand. Isn't there a test for leukemia?

yes for the infectious lukemia but not the other form I guess. I don't understand as I asked her what test she did last week and she said it was for the infectious aids/lukemia not the other forms they can get.

I am very depressed about all this just so you all know. I am taking it very hard.

she tested him for everything under the darn sun. He came back negative on feline aids and leukemia (the infectious kind or leukemia). He is doing ok tonight he has eaten and he is now sleeping at the bottom of my bed. I think he will be up again around 1 or 2 to eat again and I get up and feed him even though I am exhausted. He can go usually 3 to 5hrs without eating then hes starving and chows down. The vet told me to just keep him comfortable. I am going to do a daily log of how hes eating and if hes been shaking and if hes been up and moving around and all that jazz and i have to email her next tuesday with an update. She told me if anything came up between now and then to call or email and she will tell me what to do. She is really baffled herself as she doesn't understand hes gaining weight but his rbc went down. She said she can also try shutting his ammune system down and then restarting it back up but she said it wouldn't be a good idea. She said there is one type of anemia that can attack the body but she is 90% sure it isn't it because that is a regenerative anemia and hes got non regenative anemia. I am kind of prepared for the worst even thought I don't want to be I hope you all understand. I am kind of blabbing here.
