I think your comment needs to be more explained. I didn't start this thread. I didn't attack anyone. Geek asked for more information. People like me? You mean people who see animals in deplorable conditions and try to help even when their own resources are low? There are plenty of people like that on this forum. People like her (the little guy?) are the ones that breed without concern or wellfare for the animals. It makes me sick when everytime another damn member of the military moves out of housing and leaves behind an unaltered animal to breed. These animals don't deserve this treatment.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but...

I think it's wonderful that people want to save the world. Once cat or dog at a time. What I think sux is that those same people complain about it. They complain because they spend their money. They complain because they have no social life, can't go anywhere, can't do anything. They complain about other people who enjoy bringing animals into the world, regardless of the circumstances surrounding those people or animals.

The woman with a couple of kittens is not the evil back yard breeder. The people who breed, then don't breed again until they've found homes for the babies that they have are not the evil breeders. The people who make a living off of breeding are the people you need to be going all over.

If you want to rescue animals, that's awesome. Just do it and S T F U.

I'll avoid going the route of karma and just put it out here....if that is truly how you feel you're an idiot.

Well, I'm glad you did.

I don't really care what you think. I'm sick of all the self righteous animal people out there.

As a side note, I know plenty of people who rescue animals that don't feel the need to make the rest of the world look bad, or publicly announce how wonderful they are about it.

You really should read the ad. This cat is probably on it's third pregnancy, and is only two years old. They started breeding way too soon, and have continued breeding way too often. They are not breeding the cats for a purpose, or with a plan to place the kittens - they also have an ad giving away the last litter. They are looking for someone to buy the cats and not fix them. They even specifically mentioned breeding for pet stores.

This person is the epitome of the backyard breeder that is doing harm. I don't understand why you are sticking up for her.

I'm not so much taking up for her as I'm just sick of listening to the sanctimonious rescuers. This just happened to be the thread that got under my skin.

You're right. The woman with the cats is ####ed up. She'll soon realize that it's not working and give it up. One of her neighbors will report her, it'll be done.

It just pizzes me off that people can't do their thing without trying to make others look bad, or less important. I read this crap and wonder if my friends who have poodles, pommies, cavaliers, etc, should feel guilty about the pets they own because they didn't get them from a shelter.

And for what it's worth, every animal I've ever owned has been a rescue.

...and let me add. If you want people to adopt rescues, make it ####in' simple instead of invading everyone's lives.
