| She'll be fine. I have the battle of the Queen Bees here sometimes but they do play with one another. I have a Calico and a Tabby that will have a battle for the futon sometimes. Our newest addition, the Calico, walked in this house on day #1 like she owned the joint. Good luck!

| awww...she's so cute. Isn't there a way to keep them from clawing each others eyes out and become acquainted at the same time? Maybe keep the new kitty in another room for a few days, only bringing her out in a carrier so she's safe until established kitty gets accustomed to her? Cattitude? You ever hear of doing this? I don't know, I was always afraid to bring another cat into the house with Jack. |

You can do things like rubbing a small blanket/towel on each cat and let them "smell" each other before you introduce them. Also, you can keep the new kitten in a separate room and allow her to come out slowly. I wouldn't leave them alone for a few weeks until you're sure how it's going. If you don't work, I'd let them wander around together after the first day or so and see how it goes. With one being a kitten and the other being fairly young, I'll bet you don't have many problems. One thing I would do is get another litter box. ![]() I'm so happy you're getting her. ![]()

| Thanks everbody! I'm pretty excited. I don't think I get to bring her home for a while. Not sure how the shelter works, but I think they want her spayed and everthing first. My kids are SO excited. ![]() |

| A few years back you used to pick from a vet on the list (that worked with the shelter). The shelter would transport the animal to that vet for spaying/neutering, etc. and you would pick up the animal from the vet when it was ready to go.

| Congrats!! Glad to hear that you are going to get her. I'm sure everything will work out okay. Ours "danced" around each other for a week or so, but never got into a serious fight. They'll be fine!! Keep us updated. |
