A sign of CRF (renal failure) is bad breath as well. Might be a good idea to check kidney values. Sure wouldn't hurt. Kidney failure at 2 years old is not common but it happens. I learned so much when mine was diagnosed.

she eats and drinks normally.... I give her wet food more lately on advice from the vet. She was sneezing today and her eyes seem to be really runny. I was out of town for a couple of days and she seemed fine when i left. She just doesnt seem like herself thats all.

You just made me realize that my dog's breathe doesn't stink. I remember all of the other dogs that I had growing up, I could have passed out with the stench.

The feral cat that we turned into a house cat had bad breath and the vet noticed her gumline was inflamed. It was something called Bartonella which was treated with pills.

Hi All

I went to the vet today. Turns out she has an uri. She is on antibiotics. Vet said her teeth are good. No ulcers or gum problems. She seems much better since I gave her the antibiotics. Vet said she had dirty ears though... So I have to put stuff in her ears. I'm just glad she's better and it's not anything serious.
