Bad Breath

My cat has the worst breath. Is it normal for a cat to have bad breath?
Just curious?

No, it is not. How old is the cat? How are the cat's teeth?

Both of my cats have only had bad breath when they had an upper respiratory infection. I don't think it is normal.

Well I made an appointment for the vet in the am. She doesn't seem like herself. Better to be safe then sorry.

A sign of CRF (renal failure) is bad breath as well. Might be a good idea to check kidney values. Sure wouldn't hurt. Kidney failure at 2 years old is not common but it happens. I learned so much when mine was diagnosed.
