Cat Issues!

Okay, sitting here watching TV, and hear a scratching noise, plus some hissing (okay, lots of hissing), coming from the foyer. Jump up and run to the front door (storm door's open) to see Maddie (Kitty 1) scratching and hissing at the door. Look out and see Unknown Kitty on the other side of the door. Unknown Kitty looks EXACTLY like Ally (Kitty 2). Now, Maddie thinks Ally is the "unsub" from outside.

She is hissing and growling, and not letting Ally walk anywhere in the house!! Hubby (who is currently trying to pacify Maddie) is setting himself up for a nice scratch (or twenty) across his face by trying to get Maddie to let it go!! Now, he has called both of the girls into the Kitchen for a treat. I'll let you all know how that goes in the morning!!!

You know, the kitty probably does recognize her friend but the outside kitty is disturbing the "force" in your home. I know when a strange kitty would come to the deck and my kitties would see it, all hell would break loose on the inside amongst the kitty pals.

Maddie was "second" kitty until we had to put "first" kitty down, and then we adopted Ally. Maddie had a bit of a time accepting the new kitty (Ally). They are definitely NOT huggy buddies, but they tolerate each other. This is after 6 years!! Anyway, things seem to have calmed down now. Maddie is still a bit jumpy, but Hubby and Ally headed upstairs, and the front door is shut, so I think things will get back to normal!! Gotta love them, huh!!!

Same here. Stray kitty comes on our deck and our two normally sweet and delicate inside kitties turn into Jenny from the Block

Since we got my poodle groomed and have been allowing him to come in out of the heat (he's gettin kinda old and can't handle it anymore) my cats have had their noses out of joint something fierce! It is funny, even though they know this dog and know he will not hurt them, they all still turn into huge bottle brushes when he gets to close to them!
